My top 20 is taking good shape.
I will go for a 40 again this year.
Have stopped listening to new music now, with thr exception of one album I've been waiting for and will be out a week today.
Have 68 to whittle down to 40. There's more good stuff been released than I thought. Just very little of it guitar led.

Sounds like you have a lot of word to do.
Have you thought of logging albums on a spreadsheet and taking this seriously?
At this point I have 78 albums listed with their scores, best tracks (also captured in a Spotify tracklist) and a short review after the first listen. Scores and reviews have been tweaked the way and will continue to be done so. If I'm being honest I regret not logging a few more details (date of first listen, amount of listens etc) but it is also nice to have space to improve next year. The work is not complete either. I have five albums with 6/10. All need a another listen to confirm the inner hierarchy. Lots to be done but enjoying the process. Every minute of it.
Shout out to JPs Insta countdown. Cannot wait.

can we get alternative AI art for each record on your list?
I feel so underprepared this year. I'm going to attempt some serious prep next week.

I might bloody have too, pal. My original review of 'The Future is Your Past' by the Brian Jonestown Massacre simply says 'Sounds like their DBTT lol'. I've massaged the AI image generator into producing this in artistic form as a tester.

I see Norman Records have plumped for Lankum as well for their No.1.
I haven't listened up til now, but if big Norms are having it I'm gonna have to.

My list is looking so good. I'm fielding off multiple messages from the insta #vinylcommunity asking for a sneak peak.

I'm very intrigued to know if The Skinner Brothers have made the cut. Would assume this is not the first time you've been asked about that one.

No worries. I've got all angles covered here. A quick look at my list confirms my fave track is MELLOW. One to look out for.

It is an hour and 10 long and the snippets all sound fucking rubbish. Can anyone confirm if it is worth bothering with?
I suggest Eddie Murphy does an initial review if no one has listened to it yet. I'd imagine he has the free time.

You've shall we say, "previous", including Idles HIGH on your list. You falling for this Lankum nonsense would come as no surprise to me, or your instagram followers.

A reassuring post from Karl. A call to arms that we aren’t fucking with this nerd music. Fuzzy Dunlop, please post it on Twitter. Cheers 👍

Listened to the first 2 songs of the Lankum album and turned it off. Horrific.
