neworder-recycle.blogspot.com/Basically some audiophiles in their 40s have decided to spend free time ripping original vinyl JD / NO 7" & 12" records, mastering them, and then turtleing them for people to download. The results are fucking amazing. New Order / Joy Division singles are essential anyway, but the sound quality of these files is absolutely 10/10 take a listen and see.

New Order - True Faith, Bizarre Love Triangle and Everything's Gone Green are all utterly fantastic.
TBH tho everything on that site bar World in Motion is decent.

Thanks, although I was referring to interesting combinations of a sides and b sides, I'm not really fuzzed with 5 alternative takes of a song, at least not for the moment, as I am quite new to New Order.

new order and joy division put out some great singles. but album wise in my opinion neither are much to write home about.
probably two of the most overrated bands of all time.

not in my opinion their contemporaries shit over both of them. give me the replacements, husker du, galaxie 500, dinosaur jr, the smiths, the feelies, the clash, neil young, paul simon, and the jesus and mary chain any day of the week.
joy division ripped off the rhythmic undertones of neu! and kraftwork. as for new order they put out great singles but album wise i'm not bothered.

Husker Du? For fucks sake. You may as well compare The Seeds to Eroll Alkan. It sounds like you've just listed your favourite bands of the 80s, or as i suspect, just listed the only bands from the 80s that you've ever actually listened to. ''rhythmic undertones'' care to explain what that little gem actually means? fantasic.

you may think it is horse shit but it doesn't change the fact that joy division and new order are horribly overrated.
as for the rhythmic undertones joy division ripped off or were influenced by depending on your view the repetitiveness of neu! and kraftwork.

I dunno - I first got my suspicions when I read his first post - Mahoney's album thread, no punctuation. I'd say so tbh.
