For some reason I forced myself to listen at least once to all the Cars records, although I think they released another one recently. They are quite a dull band, aren't they? Thought they were better for some reason, it turns out they weren't.

Black Rebel Motorcycle Club - Shuffle Your Feet
Forgot just how much I love this album. It's been so long since I listened to it.

Picked that Jam live 6cd thingy from exy, cd 1 and 2 are alright but really really enjoying cd3 (Reading University, February 1979) so far. Even discovering some unnoticed gems from their discography and, of course, the lovely Heatwave cover (although might prefer Blondie's one).

An old glam rock record by Giorgio Moroder and a compilation of semi psychedelic Christian rock from Spanish bands in the 70s.
None of them is brilliant by any means, but both are quite fun and surreal.

Son of my father. Saw the cover and had to give it a listen, initially thought it was going to be better than it finally was but it's worth a listen or two. Also there's a version of the title track sung in Italian which makes it more appealing.
Thanks for the link too, I'll have a look.

There's a BRMC tour playlist from last year on Spotify that I've been enjoying listening to lately:

Always wondered where Public Enemy got the sample from, what a monster of a tune.

Anyone a fan of Suzanne Vega? I've got into her a bit recently. My mum used to always play Luka in the car growing up so I stuck it on last month - timeless tune to the core with those punk rock drums! Her first two albums are quality, I was surprised somewhat.
I also heard another tune I enjoyed growing up the other day too - Stay by Lisa Loeb. No laughing smilie by myself either; best pop/folk one hit wonder ever!

Better than Kate Bush.
Plus like JP, I was also fond of her brother, Ramon.
