The 3rd and 4th side of ‘live rust’. So heavy. It was dipped in concrete, long live the horse.

Going through Elvis’ entire back catalogue right now. What an experience, even his bad albums have untouchable moments.

I've accidentally stumbled across David Crosby's album If Only I Could Remember My Name fron 1971. And it totally got me on first listen. I can hear a lot of psychy folk rock that's come since in it.
Three straight listens through and loving it.

I like this part of year for listening to older shit. I've been listening to Echo & The Bunnymen's back catalogue & tbh, I wish I hadn't. Their first 5 records are all worthwhile, but imo everything after ranges between decent at best, to diabolical. I assumed they would have made something worth hearing after 87 but no. They mostly sound like U2 or a 3rd rate Britpop band from the 90s onwards.
Best thing that's new to me is Brian Eno's Here Come The Warm Jets. I'd heard a couple of his pre ambient records in the past & loved them both but this is on a different level. Art Rock at its finest, the title track with Robert Fripp's guitar sound is sensational.
Gave Husker Du's New Day Rising another listen & TBH I'm not that keen. I always find there's something proper cringey about Bob Mould's vocals. Something just doesn't sit well with me with most of those 80s American punk groups, it always sounds so phoney to me.
