dumped out in 1st rd of qualies.

and a bout of food poisoning. :P

Unfortunately for Bouchard, she didn't manage to make the main draw after suffering a 6-3 1-6 6-4 defeat to Ashlyn Krueger in the qualifying first-round. Bouchard, 28, was playing at Melbourne Park for the first time since 2020.

"Australia! So nice to be back after 3 years, and staying at my fav place @crownmelbourne. Sad to be leaving early this year, but we will turn 2023 around!" Bouchard wrote on Instagram. P-)

I watched a good bit of the first set of Cornet v Fernandez - Cornet is a little shit disturber I never seen someone take so long to get things going and she was always yelling into the stands. I am glad Fernandez did the number on her.

good result for fernandez.

cornet is no pushover (beat swiatek at wimby).

alize can get a bit shouty. :)

her nickname is cornut on the tennis forums. :D

good to see azarenka getting it together.

into semi finals.

djokovic looks fairly a big favourite (hamstring problems aside).

men's draw looks uninspiring again (no alcaraz).
