think i've got it back working again. the heating is back, thank fuck.
in my old flat there was still a fire place in the living room. we regularly used to get it going, burning bits of wood and general crap. the heat was brilliant but you had to watch for sparks landing about the place. one misplaced can of deoderant and the whole place could have went up
Off work today ffs. My shift was cancelled, no reason given.
There's 15 people on my team, 10 of them live within walking distance of the place. We're talking 10-15 mins walk max. The rest live in the coontreeside (me included) but I could have easily made it in in less than 15 mins
Should have worded that better, I work for the organisation - scottish social services council that governs the social care sector in Scotland. I wouldn't mind actually being a social worker though as I need to sort myself a career out as the uni thing went tits up. Thats another thread though.
The snow has just came on really heavy here. I just dug out and cleared my car of the snow yesterday and its about 10 inches under already. The variations in weather and seasons here is wonderful.
If the snow prevents me from going to see Reef tonight I'm going to try and kick start this global warming thing properly. I'm going to buy a tonne of fossil fuel and burn it next to my local trian station as a warning. Then i'm going to stand on the burning ash singing:
"Who knows who knows when I'm comming now, I dont pretend to know".
