was just thinking about what albums there is coming out next year and it got me pretty fucking excited. i think it might be the greatest year ever guys.
the PAINS will be coming back with a second album, and the mighty vivian girls will be releasing their 3rd.
also there is debuts from the likes of yuck, la sera
plus confirmed new lps from more established acts such as rem, british sea power, beady eye, the raveonettes, beastie boys, the go team,pj harvey, gruff rhys, panda bear and maybe radiohead, noel gallagher, the strokes, nick cave etc.
then of course there is longviews long awaited second album which will blow us all away.
its gonna be GREAT

Nice one. He will have one out as well despite not writing anything. When he isn't touring he goes to his office in Brighton and sits there 9-5 every single weekday writing poetry, writing tunes, reading books until he gets ideas. I've never known an artist to treat their career like a full time job before.

Heard the new British Sea Power single today, didn't seem very good on first listen, quite normal sounding for them. Not a patch on Zeus.
Go! Team should be interesting, not bothered with the single wanna hear it all fresh.

I think i'm looking forward to Tommy's album the most atm, no joke You still like Veronica Falls, Jan? Their last single, Beachy Head is another corker. Can't wait for that album. Also getting excited for The Go! Team III. Tornado could've gone on either of the first 2 records, yet still feels really exciting and fresh. Maybe cos they've been away so long. Fucking love that band, though

yeah exactly the dame. british sea power single seemed underwhelming but ive still faith in them producing another top album.
not bothered with new go team single as im waiting to hear the album as a whole. bound to be good though.
really looking forward to new raveonettes, been listening to them a fair bit this week, only just now realising how good their last album was. not quite up there with lust lust lust but not too far behind at all.

Once I realised the Raveonettes last album was a pure pop record I decided it was great, took me fucking months of being angry how poppy it was first though They've been making facebook status's this week like 'We've just recorded the best songs ever' so they seem to think the new stuffs good. They are doing parts of it at Josh Homme's studio

last dance and suicide are the two highlights from that lp for me.
yeah i see that facebook status. they said the new stuff was real noisey too so that bodes well.
i think the album is meant to be out fairly early in the year too which is good. their last two lps have both come out in nov/dec time and therefore been a bit too late to be placed very high on my end of year lists even though they deserved to be.

"2011 greatest year for music ever?"
Not unless I missed the memo where it was explained 1966 never happened.

It's a shame you have to be so defeatist to the view that there will never ever be a year as good as '66 ever again. 67 was better anyway

2010 was pretty good, at least better than the last 10 years, so there's hope for 2011 yeah. Greatest year ever, i wouldnt bet on that though.
Coxon record is said to be amazing, and maybe we'll get a Pulp record ?
