chrissie, tell me, I have been talkign to mates from back home who have informed me of "super eccies" that are doing the rounds right now.  I had one last night. A mate of mine picked up a few in Leith last week. He warned me they were seriously strong. I hadn't done any in ages so I just gubbed one. It was amazing, was up for a good 3 hours. No real comedown at all. |

this is happening at big day out in auckland in jan. wanna go, tasty bill overall but im broker than enron is and dunno if it can happen.
aucklands a shithole too. feels like it might as well be england in distance, and flights cost but prob not shitness.

It's Primal Scream doing one of the iconic albums of the past 30 years. It may be full of folk in their 30s and 40s who havent been to a gig in 10 years but it'll sell out and it'll be amazing Not had any of those £10 eccies but have heard of them doing the rounds. Couple of my mates had a night on them a week or two ago, they've meant to be top notch with a severely lessened come-down. Still, a tenner for an eccie is batshit. Thats what they were when I first started taking them, some were even as much as 15 quid.......but always worth it back then. And wouldnt you rather spend the money on something thats worth it (as stated by 'Cat man' and Chrissie) than spending a quid on a shite pill??? I'm getting some sent out from Glasgow |

The 3 Screamadelica gigs I saw whenever they last did it were fucking incredible. They had no right to be that good. Also, obviously I liked the record prior to those gigs, but seeing that material performed live helped me hear the record in a new light. Not sure I need to see it again, if they had Happy Mondays & Hooky for TCOTU I'd be sold, but not way am I paying £50+ notes to see them without a decent support lineup.

Enjoyed re-reading this thread and remembering days of super e’s and the Scream when they still had two guitar players and Mani on bass.
The slimmed down Scream are playing a tent in Glasgow last year but I just dunno if it’s worth the cash tbh to hear them do a set I’ve heard them do numerous times before.
