Had my first listen this morning. Really enjoyed it. Agree with what you said about it not outstaying it's welcome, the 16 tracks fly by. No problems with the production, sounds like a garage band captured live which is exactly what you'd expect. None of the tracks sounded like classics yet all very strong, hopefully a few will emerge as great tunes on further listens.

new black lips is pretty good on first listen yeah. certainly nothing to worry about by having ronson produce it.
my biggest black lips revalation of the week though was listening to the self titled album again and realising it is probably their best lp. utterly huge.

Really enjoying the new record I must say, funny though as the profuction was supposed to 'sound better', I think it sounds quite thin, the drums especially, it works well obviously, but I think 'Good bad, not evil' actually sounds more 'well produced', but yeah, enjoying it a lot.

I'm on a quest after all of their tracks, but everytime I find an obscure bside from a rare limited 7", I find another unachainable split single. Terribly frustrating tbh.
Anyway, top10 songs? I can't avoid putting some obvious ones into my list, as when they hit the spot, they really hit it right. And with no order tbh.
