I was never a "noel" fan, i really didnt prefer one, although the late years of oasis, noel was the only one that was still doing something. liam's voice was getting worse and worse, his tunes were ridiculous (bar a few - which he never even wrote himself). as much as i like gem, he gave FUCK ALL to the band, and andy was the guy on the bass that wrote "i have a piano - i can't find the c". seriously now? Only just seeing this. What exactly was Noel doing? Throwing hissy fits and writing 'The Importance Of Being Idle' Liam was rocking leopard print brogues and having it, ie being a rock n roll star. As for Liams voice on record he sounded as good as ever, live ... if you're listening out for his vocals at a gig you're a fucking nerd. Also Gem and Andy gave more to the band in terms of songwriting and technically better playing than Guigs and Bonehead, it's just unfortunate Noel was spent as a songwriter by the end and were playing 'Mucky Fingers' every other night. |
