Biggest consecutive fail posts I've ever seen. ;D 1) To suggest Pacquiao would perform "a rope a dope" against floyd would be to suggest that floyd is the ultimate offensive brawler, whilst pacquiao is a defensive counter punching wizard. Such an analysis couldnt be further from the truth. 2) One would learn more from watchin a boxing match on TV than one could ever possibly learn from watching a live event. Just because you've seen an Ali poster in your mates grotty flat, and probably watched half a documentary doesnt mean you are allowed to comment on boxing. now GTFO, you frizzy pubed padawan, you dont know shit !

just tell us all about the best bout you've been to anyway.
or the best match you've been to this year
or the best gig you've been to this year.
or in fact anything you've ever done related to the countless infantile rattled posts on here you make about things you've no real interest in other than getting real mad about on here.

Read in the paper this morning that Floyd is defintely figthing in May, and if the Pac-man fight doesn't get made, De la Hoya says he would be keen to get Khan in there with Floyd.

Kahn Versus Peterson tonight folks....
Really looking forward to this one, should be a good battle. Peterson really deserves his shot and for a long time has been fairly under-rated by press and public alike. I thought Peterson deserved the decision against Ortiz so apart from that draw he's only lost to Timbo Bradley which is hardly bad going. I think Kahn will win but I do think that it'll be closer than the Judah fight as Peterson has a lot of heart and won't quit like Judah did. Kahns speed will be the difference and he'll win on points imo, perhaps by 8 rounds to 4 with some very close rounds.

2 points deducted for 'pushing' seems unduly harsh. Regardless of that, the fight did expose khan's shortcomings and underlined the absurdity of his stated desire to fight mayweather, not even close to being ready for that.

thought khan won meself. had it 7 to 4 with 1 even. oh well. disadvantages of boxing away from home. i suppose not shifting a lot of tickets last time out forced goldenboys hand in going to peterson's hometown.

I had Khan winning by two points, good fight, he gets in some crackers. Thought the ref was shite, the pushing off was harsh, could have lost points for pushing Peterson's neck down however, was worried about the ref we he got tangled up with the fighters on the '1st knockdown' in the 1st, looked out of his depth and got far too close to the action

Awesome fight to watch, it ebbed and flowed like all the best fights do. I had Khan winning 113-112, But I scored the 4th 10-10 and to be honest it could have gone either way, same with the 6th / 7th. I think it was a fair result with Peterson winning, certainly no robbery, Khan did crisper work but Peterson seemed to really trouble him at times and Peterson is not a big puncher. Khan just couldn't keep him off him at all, you have to question Khans power really.
I also thought the point deductions were justified. A little push off to get out of a clinch everynow and then is fair enough but Khan was fully launching the guy off him, regularly. He was warned a fair few times about it but didn't do anything about it. He was also pushing Petersons head down a lot in the later rounds, possibly to escape being head butted as Petersons head was fairly low when he came in but it's still no excuse. If you get head butted then fair enough, you've got a right to complain but as far as I could see, Khan never actually took a head in his face, he just moaned about the possibility of it afterwards.
Hopefully Khan will learn some lessons from that defeat, he just doesn't seem to have an inside game at all. He has no idea when he gets closed down, leaning forward with his hands up by the side of his face eating uppercuts. He needs to learn to roll his way out of these close exchanges without taking as much punishment. Against other 'pure' boxers like Judah and Mallignaggi he looks sensational but inside fighters like Peterson and Maidana give him a lot more trouble. On Saturday nights showing Bradley would rough him up big time.
