MMA > Boxing Dana > Floyd The Octagon > The Ring i respect what the UFC has achieved. i don't hate it. the fighting just leaves me unsatisfied. too much grappling and a really quick ending usually.  the top ufc guys would get wasted against the top boxers. so that's a nonsensical argument really.  i agree with dana that boxing has helped dig it's own hole over the years. |

Sonnen doesn't do 'hype' ... the reason being he watched the build up to Lennox Lewis v Mike Tyson when the pair of them had everyone believing they despised each other and then after the dust settled on the fight they both said they only did that to sell the fight.
Sonnen said he was lied to, and considers Lewis and Tyson to owe him $50 because he bought the PPV to see two men who disliked each other settle their differences in the ring. For that reason alone he refuses to sell fights through hype, Brian Stann being a prime example, he respected the guy immensely and never said a bad word against him, he was even quite reserved about Bisping who was standing in at the last minute for Mark Munoz another fighter who he didn't say a bad word about either. In saying that he'll make up for it when it comes to the Anderson Silva fight.
