First visible satellite view of Hurricane Ida, with sustained winds of 150 mph. The center is only 50 miles southwest of the mouth of the Mississippi River. Landfall comes later this morning with life threatening storm surge and winds.
Did you make it through Steve? I imagine you blasting out I Hope I Think I know on your balcony shirtless staring the hurricane in the face whilst shouting "it's me or you, it's me or you!"

I can confirm I have survived! It was a pretty crazy night and winds topped out 145 km/h. Looks like Larry is now on its way to Greenland to fuck up our neighbours.
Part of my fence broke off (I’ll grab a pic later) - glad no other major issues!
Highest gust was reported at 184 km/h but thankfully that was pretty far from where I live
We got a few oil rigs out where this looks to be headed so hopefully everybody will be alright --- Sea Swells are suppose to be massive on Wednesday i'll try and grab a few pics.
Well folks the sea was very angry on the weekend. I haven't seen waves this big in a long time! Thankfully no major damage from the latest hurricane that just creeped by us.
