Aye longjohn has been fantastic, his haters have been nothing more then weirdos and wind-up merchants.

Hey guys, I'm gonna listen to the record really soon. I'll write a tasty review in a minute tomorrow someday .
The music industry (in which I'm in) is the nuts!

As much as I like this song, I can't avoid imagining it being released as an Oasis b-side as Noel said. I think that would increase it's value and charm subtly cos, as everybody knows...
Oasis b-sides > BDI singles

ady Eye's debut single 'The Roller' will be available to download from Sunday. A digital bundle of 'The Roller' featuring the exclusive b-side 'Two Of A Kind' will be available to buy from Sunday 20th February. The single and b-side will be available on a numbered limited edition 7" release from the official Beady Eye store on Monday 21st February. This will be available to pre-order from early February. A standard version of the 7" will also be available to buy in stores from Monday 21st February.====== Jeez, how about ONE released date. This is getting complicated. Any news about the standard release? Can't find anywhere

Walked into starbucks this morning for the first time in ages, and the free 'itunes pick of the week' they were giving away...the roller, by Beady Eye. I laughed.

It would have made much more sense to do about 2 months ago.
As marketing ideas go, it's actually not all that bad. I'd guess 1 in 20 people here (if that) have the faintest idea who beady eye are, and now after having downloaded 'the roller', they'll just think they're some band from the early 70s that never quite made it.
