i thought DFA1979 broke up? They've reunited at least for Coachella, rumors are a new album and tour though. MAN. This is news to me. Their debut is one of the greatest things I've ever heard. Only saw them live once and it was intensely good. |

I am seriously considring going... this still doesn't even compare to the amazing genius of 2007's list. i mean I watched the Arcade Fire and had to choose between Red Hot Chili Peppers or go to the tents to see Rapture/ Lcd Soundsystem with Hot Chip, i went with the later... that was incredible experience. I also Bjork, Interpol, Monkeys, Jesus and Mary Chain, Rage Agains Machine, Tiesto was there.. i skipped that mind you.
Okay this is good. The Strokes album alone could suddenly make this the hottest ticket of the year. I understand the new found hate for Kings of Leon, but caught myself listening to the new album recently...
Ariel Pink and Tame Impala, DFA 1979! Crystal Castles, Black Keyes would all be first times for me and ones I really wanna see.

I was at 2007 as well. Best festival I've ever been.
Not real enthused about this years though.

whats the fuss behind Pitchfork festival? Where does that happen.
I'd love to check out an European or English Festival. Bencassim in July looks good, as does Isle of Wight..something new from the North American way of doing things.

Enteresting.... it would be ultimate in nerdy music affairs.
I generally just enjoyed the athmospher of Coachalle though, the hotness, the hot girls, the palm trees, just great atmosphere. Sasquatch is great too. Never been to Lolla or Austin City, SXSW mind you.

coachella seems absolutely mindblowing, id love to go. LOVE to. its merely a testament to how off the fucking richter scale good some of their recent line ups have been that one as good as this seems disapointing.
Pitchfork for me this year though!

Nice. But hasn't Interpol lost it's replacement bassist again? Lineup is pretty good for Coachella and I prefer it to Glastonbury's this year mind you.
P.S Bill why are you asking steve to go to pitchfork? Fleet Foxes are there and FF and steve don't mix bro.
