Shops go chicken house, newsagent, chicken house, newsagent, taxi office, chicken house, chicken house, newsagent, chicken house and so on for about 2 miles. It's utter, utter shank. yeah right shithole. used to hate that half an hour walk from seven sisters station. can completely understand the disgust of the wimbledon fans over the milton keynes debacle. but not this. it's progress man.

I wonder how much Leyton Orient will be suing for. It's only 1 stop away and West Ham are currently undercutting them on tickets. It could be the death of that club.

opens it up for some new investment in the club though. definitely gives west ham a platform this move. but yeah they ain't gonna fill it are they.

Won't matter much to them though. They aren't gonna be paying a great deal to be there so if they get extra in most weeks they'll be better off. I'm sure they'll be near to selling it out when they've got spurs/arsenal/united/chelsea.
If I was a fan I'd be gutted though, the prospect of watching them play with a load of empty seats and having to look past a running track must suck.

Jealous at all?? Have you seen the Olympic stadium? Well, lets be honest its not as if you will be moving to a 60k stadium any time soon. The stadium will be absolutely awful for football - and therefore suits West Ham's style of play perfectly

opens it up for some new investment in the club though. definitely gives west ham a platform this move. but yeah they ain't gonna fill it are they. It doesn't matter really. With all the TCOTU derbies plus the games against United and Liverpool they'll get plenty of full houses. This will boost their match day revenues by tens of millions per year, plus there's the fact they get a brand new stadium for free.* Don't know if it's technically 'free' and the tens of millions was just an intuitive guess. 34,000 now 60,000 for Chelsea, Arsenal, Spurs, United, Liverpool....maybe Fulham? 26,000 x £40 x 5 games = £5.2m Plus there'll be better/more hospitality seats and they'll get more than 40,000 for the games against Everton, City, Fulham, Newcastle, Sunderland. Very good deal for the Cockernees. They'll piss it all on shite like Boa Morte and Marco Boogers mind.

Originally when they were considering the bid they were gonna just pay a fixed rent fee which was quoted as being really low, maybe that has changed after there was competition for the stadium though. They'll get a huge wad of cash when they sell off Upton Park as well I would of thought.

Stratford is not much better though is it. Both dumps Stratford's been under redevelopment since the Olympic bid was won. Tottenham's a whole differnt kind of shithole compared to Mile End/Stratford/Leyton anyway. Even if it was on a par it's only 1 stop from Liverpool Street. It doesn't matter really. I think there was a half a block empty in one area. Embarrassing.

Aye, I love all these "oh, they'll get 60K for sure when Chelsea/Spurs/Arsenal/United come to town" comments. Will they be getting them when Burnley, Boro, and Crystal Palace are there?

Yeah, or the 500 If welling ever have a cup run. You hear about Welling tuesday night Brad? 2-1 up against Bromley 88th minute...... power failure game called off. Only had one sub and 3 youngsters in the team as well. I think Welling are cursed this season.

Yeah I read that you only had 11 fit players inc. manager Jamie Day so the FA let you register some youngsters to stick on the bench. I'm sure there is a ruling that if a game has played more than 75mins then the result stands. Not sure if it applies outside of the FL though.

TBH I don't think its fair on Bromley, they were only a goal down & it was Wellings floodlights that fucked up. Was probably the Chairman so there would be a replay so they can make a few more quid Glad I was at Go! Team or I'd of been there, would of been a shit end to the night.
