Oh and I do think he has the ability to be the link between defence and midfield but yeah well the difference of quality between the Dutch and the English league is huge so you always have to wait and see how it works out

Kuyt going nowhere according to Hodgson, who has spoken to Massimo Moratti. Aquilani is having a medical in Turin today.

I've never liked city tbh Andy, even before all this. A few weeks ago I predicted them to finish first as they probably will contend for the title but I hate them so much I can't let my brain make decisions, I have to go with my heart and just assume they'll finish 5-8th simply because I want them to. On a completely related note I've just seen that AC Milan "might" make a move for Zlatan, who obviously has played for Inter. Now, moves between derby rivals like lolverpool/evertoon, celtic/rangers, and a bunch of other ones are VERY RARE, and are highly scrutinized when and if they happen but it seems that every bastard that signs for Inter or AC has played for the other one at one point previously, they just seem to not really care I guess? Any Serie A experts then? Ridiculous, another thing I forgot is that they even loan players out to each other, like Mancini last year... I mean wtf? what is the point even? Hate how Italian football works.

Well that sounds good, Alan Smith can't even connect his shoe laces so I won't worry too much about his link up play. This could solve some problems for us because if Ben Arfa doesn't happen Tiote can provide the muscle for the talented-but-lightweight Danny Guthrie in the middle and we can shift Barton further forward, hope this gets finalised. Smith was top notch today I thought (and always have. ;D ;D)

Hate how Italian football works. transfers between everton and liverpool arent very rare. that I can remember Kevin Sheedy Peter Beardsley Gary Ablett Nick Barmby Abel Xavier have all gone directly from one to another and more players have played for both clubs. it only became impossible in the last decade after they blatantly tapped barmby up during euro 2000, and rafas bizzare everton rants. it might happen again since moyes and hodgson are friends and former colleagues at inter.

Thought David Johnson would have had a mention there, only him and Beardsley have scored in the derby for both sides.

I wonder if Tiote's imminent arrival has anything to do with it, or perhaps partnering his mate Barton in a 5 man midfield agrees with him more than Guthrie/Nolan in a 4 Ronaldo played for Inter, AC Milan, Barcelona and Real Madrid. Other R.Madrid & Barcelona players that I can remember: Schuster, Milla, Laudrup, Luis Enrique, Figo, Eto'o, Saviola, Celades... Prosinecki?

Chances are high Carlos Salcido is leaving PSV for Liverpool. Was very poor pretty much every match for PSV the last 2 year, had a great World Cup though

Juve have an option to sign Aquilani for £13.5m after his year long loan. Embarrassing to say the least.
