Toon fans We've had Darren Lough on trial, and apparently impressed tonight in a 4-1 against Bishops Stortford. Any good? he had a boss season for me when I spent a few years as accrington stanley on FM, so that should count for something.

Years of total mismanagement, signing the wrong players for shit and shit loads of money, failing to win the league (which gives a direct group stage spot for the Champions League) Ajax has the largest fanbase in the country. is a big international name etc etc but still they manage to fuck it up again and again for about the last 6 years. We had about 10 to 15 managers as well in the last 15 years

He wants to play Champions League with Ajax he said but players say all kinds of stuff. I don't think he will leave Ajax though because he still has 3 years left on his contract (signed a new contract before the World Cup) and Ajax wants about 40 million euro for him (which no club is going to pay, ofcourse)

FFS turns out Mpenza is indeed heading our way and Mido probably as well. Superjohnny is an Elle front cover model in comparison to Mido. That man is the size of an entire fucking stand.

He was nothing short of amazing in his first year for Schalke! Then he was injured all the time for the rest of his stay there, they'd found an incarcerated nerve at whatever club he went to that caused many of them, but when he returned to Bundesliga to Hamburg he wasn't the same player. I knew something must be wrong with with Ajax's management when they paid us 5 million € for Angelos Charisteas a couple of years ago...

Charisteas We were able to sell hem after a while to Feyenoord for about 3 or 4 million euros. Those were some big times, all the Feyenoord supporters being absolutely outrageous signing our at the time 4th striker

I couldn't tell you much other than he was behind Shane Ferguson who is a pretty promising left sided player with a full Northern Ireland cap at 19 which is no shame, and was released alongside some good young players like Wesley Ngo Baheng so he's not necessarily lacking in calibre. Couple of comments off the forum I frequent from people who watch the reserves say they expected him to make it and Allardyce rated him but injury interfered with his progress. Came on at Ebbsfleet today at CB - played probably 20mins and had to be subbed - even John Nutter was having to talk him through the game.

Roy Hodgson says there is nothing more he can do to keep Fernando Torres at Liverpool
Star striker Fernando Torres could well be on his way out of Anfield, according to new Reds' boss Roy Hodgson.
There has been speculation over Torres' Liverpool future, ever since he said in March, "What is important is the club makes a big effort and brings great players that are above the quality of the squad."
Despite signing Joe Cole last week and the assumption that Steven Gerrard will now stay at Liverpool, Hodgson has now indicated it is unlikely that 26-year-old Torres will stay at Anfield.
Hodgson told the News of the World, "Unfortunately, I cannot do much more...His beef is with the club and not me.
"Fernando's situation has nothing to do with me, he made that perfectly clear over the phone during the World Cup and when I met him face-to-face.
"He knows what I would like to do with the club. He knows how much I value him.
"But his issues are with what has gone on in the past rather than the future. If he has problems with the club for things in the past, it is difficult for me to dismiss that."
Chelsea are thought to be prepared to offer up to £70million for Spanish hit man Torres, who has been outstanding in his three seasons at Liverpool, scoring an impressive 22 goals in an injury-plagued season last term, despite playing only thirty games.
