this fake geordie thing is going a bit to far now you are pretending to be arsed about sunderland too.... Why wouldn't I "be arsed" about the main rival of the club I support? And even If I was a completely neutral observer Bruce has signed two overweight past it black guys (LOLZ COS WE'RE GETTING SOL, CAN'T YA SEE) both who have featured for him at that AMAZING Wigan squad of his a few years prior. Bringing Wigan to Wearside one player at a time.

Why wouldn't I "be arsed" about the main rival of the club I support? because rivalry is based upon winding up friends, family and colleagues who support that club and stems from that, you probably have never met a sunderland fan in your life, why would you be arsed? fact: newcastle will be in a relegation scrap next season, sunderland will not. heskey as back up for darren bent and kenwyne jones isnt the worst option in the world. still better than the toon have.

That's about as accurate as axls amazing assumption that "i've never met a muslim person before!" Regardless, sigh... Newcastle will finish above Sunderland, as well as within twenty points of Everton.

sad mash is going. class act.... having said that the last trophies we won we had either sissoko (a lot cheaper but not in the same league although still class) or hamann (far better and cheaper) playing so hopefully he can be replaced. he is arguably the best in the world at his position now though so hopefully we'll play hardball (like rafa did with real over alonso) and get a good price for him. a deal valued at over 30m would be good, maybe 25m and muntari? 20m would be a sick joke, we bought him for 18.5! He was a nobody when we signed him for 18.5 million. We turned him into a world class player and national team captain. anything under 30million would be a joke IMO. Would much prefer Cambiasso than muntari. Rafa Valued him at 50million when he was here. Now he wants to sign him for muntari and 15million. LOL. obviously it's common sense, but still funny. Tbh i don't agree with the whole "we made him world class" thing. The lad was clearly a quality player before we signed him, but MSI put ridiculous clauses into his contract which meant West Ham could only afford to play him a certain amount of times, if he went over a specific amount of games they would have had to pay several million pounds so they kept him on the bench. I seriously doubt that he was left out of the team based on percieved ability. Nonetheless it was at Liverpool where he became a household name and as we paid £18.6m for him i'd expect around double that in return, although something that everyone seems to have missed is that the £18.6m was not the actual transfer fee, that was the fee, plus the £1.5m loan fee, plus his wages combined. His wages for the 4 year contract total around £5.2m so the fee was actually closer to £12m

Tevez had a different contract.
I just think it's a bit shit that people are basically making out like he was shit before we signed him, he clearly wasn't. Of course he has improved greatly since signing for Liverpool, i didn't doubt that.
Like i said, if it weren't for the daft contract he would have played a lot more for West Ham.

so why was tevez getting games for them then? we did make him world class though, the reasons as to why he couldnt get a game for west ham dont really matter, the fact remains that he wasnt playing for them, and the interest in him was hardly overwhelming whilst he was over there. West ham went into free fall after he signed as well. Yes he was clearly a quality player, but we made him into what he is today. WAT? He had been playing for the Argentine national squad since 2003, Reached two Copa Libertadores semi-finals, turned down Real Madrid amongst others, went to Brazil for 8 million pounds and played fantastic until he broke his foot. I like Liverpool man but you didn't "make him." He was already an internationally proven player capable of signing with almost anyone before he shined for you. Bob is 100% correct.

You nut-job, he's been featuring regularly for Argentinian national sides since 2001 FFS.
And he played 17 games in ONE YEAR for Corinthians whilst out for six months with a broken foot. What more do you want for him?
YOU MADE HIM?!?! YOU BOUGHT HIM FOR 18 MILLION. I don't doubt that it was a good buy, and he's done fantastic, but you didn't make shit, you don't "make" someone that cost you 18 million pounds, sorry Rod.

The guy played 46 matches for River Plate, 17 for Corinthians and 5 for West Ham. Not excactly an 'internationally proven player' in my books. Having reached the Copa Libertadores semi-final with your team twice also doesn't say shit. Real Madrid interested? Doesn't say shit. Look at the Real Madrid youth ranks or B team. How many of them break through at the highest level? Almost none. When you're a about 18 years old and Real Madrid is interested in you it's more something to worry about than to be proud of. He had some caps yeah and started playing as an Argentina player more often just before he joined Liverpool but the Argentina squad nowadays also is full of players who aren't internationally proven. Liverpool didn't make him though (as in he was nothing when he joined, he was world class when he left) Macherano was a great prospect, and a good player, when he joined and now he is world class. So at Liverpool he fulfilled his potential and estabilished himself as a top class player. Who knows where he would've been at another club though. Maybe he would've stagnated there. There are lots of players who could've been greats but made the wrong decision.

well let's wait and see, i hope so! Haha hear this, Ajax has a deal with AZ Alkmaar to sign Mounir El Hamdaoui, the cunt said he would sign, passed his medical and all of sudden he changed his demands and left Amsterdam. The saga continues! Latest stories are El Hamdaoui wants to get compensated by Ajax for his sport shop in Rotterdam. El Hamdaoui is from Rotterdam and fears the income of his shop will decrease if he signs for Ajax (Ajax being Feyenoord Rotterdam's arch rivals and all that) What a man
