Anyone going to the Glasgow or Manchester gigs that were announced last week? Tickets went on sale this morning, £34 each including the booking fee I'll still be at the Manchester gig though, lol. I can't see it being anything other than amazing.

I passed on her on the white chalk tour. She played at royal albert hall, was 50 quid with fee's.
Wish I had gone troxy gigs earlier in the year now. Surprised she is not doing TCOTU again. She's playing that I'll be your mirror thing with Portishead but thats about 60 quid so fuck that.

Those are ridiculous prices. Right now I feel she'd be one of few artists worth paying that much to see, but still, it's disappointing. Her tour with John Parish in 2009 was only twenty quid with a booking fee, now on the back of a stunning album (tbf) she almost doubles her prices. Sort it out, Pol. xx.

I don't see why she's not whoring this LP. Critically it looks like it could go down as the LP of her career. She should be doing a big tour & hitting all the festivals. Got to be a contender for the mercury prize despite her winning it in the past. I'd be shocked if she wasn't nominated.
The fee's put me off buying so many tickets these days as well. I'm going to start looking out for crap 5 pound bands again so I don't have to get raped every time I watch a band.

I saw her at the Troxy earlier in the year, it was amazing, I did get a free ticket, but would have paid anyway, and would definitely recommend it to anyone, especially if you love the album, the live band are the the guys who played on the album (John Parish, Mick Harvey & Jean-Marc Butty) and they did pretty much all of Let England Shake and littered the set with a smattering of older stuff, heavy on Is This Desire and To Bring You My Love, but the songs altered enough to fit with the style of the band and sound.

Fucks sakes, in Canada when she's playing these dates. Might try and catch a European show if she does one this autumn.

I think theres a bigger tour this winter, she usually only plays the likes of manchester apollo up here, but someone I know is trying to get her to play liverpool and it will be a much smaller venue, so she must be playing more gigs in the winter.

Well TCOTU Royal Albert Hall gig has already been announced, if she plays elsewhere in the country this winter it will get announced in the next few days probably.

Not necessarily.... thats often the case with big names since the whole tour is done with one promoter, but its not going to be the case here, I know for a fact the liverpool one is nowhere near sorted for instance.

Maybe so, I guess being from England means it'd be easier for her to announce random dates.
Anyway I'm definitely catching the Royal Albert Hall gig. Should be special.

is this RAH show on sale? First I've heard about it.
Won't be going if she's charging what she did last time she played there though.

Got tickets earlier today to her gig in Sweden in late October. They sold out so fast she added a second date. No wonder though as she's playing in a small church here in Stockholm. I can't see it taking more than 1000 people, maximum. Going to be fantastic.

I've only ever been twice & both was standing downstairs. I'd imagine this will be all seated.
edit, actually I sat in a ROYAL BOX with Sam for the coral, was weird. I'd imagine for her it'll be fine sitting down either way.

Was the sound good? I guess for her seated wouldnt be bad at all but I'd still always prefer standing.

Yeah, the building I guess is designed to have good acoustics. I'd imagine it'd be perfect for her current lineup.
