Don't blame the IPL, blame the greed of the Indian internationals who have chosen cash over pride. Thank god the majority of the England side have their priorities right.

I heard they begged Cooky (Alistair Cook) to play in the IPL and he told them to suck his dick.

It's one of the domestic leagues in India so of course the Indian players are gonna play. Plus loads of the England Test side arent 2020 players.

we're all agreed that india are absolute shit though, yeah? Just having a bad series. We'll be back. Just need to sort a few things out in the side and get the injured players back. I will be buying tickets to see Australia - India at the MCG and Adelaide.

never a more deserving winner tbh. it's been a top year for music and this seems to stand above anything else. a rich scope filtered through a strong concept, great vocals, varied but focused ideas, and most importantly, lots of fucking outstanding tunes. brilliant and very glad for her.

Wonderful album. Haven't grown tired of it yet, despite playing it almost every week this year.

The sole Polly Harvey thread on here?
Been playing her back catalogue solidly over the past week - so damn good, she's definitely in my top three songwriters of all time. Not one bad record. Something that struck me is how instant her music is despite how alternative and original she sounds. I'm still getting used to Nick Cave even, but Polly, no, it's smacks me in the face with a delicate punch while bursting both nostrils.
I reckon To Bring You My Love is my favourite album. Her voice on Teclo and The Dancer is something else, then the shouting on Long Snake Moan, the desperation in Send His Love To Me. Bliss.
I'm determined to own all her albums on vinyl - unfortunately at least half fetch £100+. Re-issue the twats!
Let England Shake (v Croatia) - slippy will get mad!

going through a proper pj harvey obsession at the moment. always been a fan but it's gone up several notches in recent weeks and been a joy revisiting her back catalogue.
stories from the city was always my favourite album and at the moment it is sounding absolutely huge. already bumped it from 4 stars to 4.5 on rym, tempted to go the full 5 stars if this obsession sticks around.
hope we get a proper new album and tour in 2020.
