Hope he gets a hattrick at Anfield every season and nothing else. To be honest I'd probably take that

the 30th of April he'll be shown up and outclassed by the likes of Leon Best and Shefki Kuqi.

I always thought he was quite overrated, just not as good as they used to say and not as bad as you're insinuating...

I reckon he's been substantially overhyped in the last two years. however, i'm sure any team in the world would have him, on form or otherwise.

It is a good debate though. Personally I would go for Torres every time if I had to chose between them. Providing Torres form is only a temporary issue. Villa is excellent but when Torres is performing at his peak, like in '07 - '08 he is unstoppable. Now I've obviously seen hours more football involving Torres in comparison with Villa and while Torres has been off the boil for a year (or more) David Villa has still been consistent.
When it all comes together for Torres he is the best striker in the world, no one can match is pace, movement and accuracy. I suppose it's just whether he regains this sooner rather than later.
It'd be nice to see Villa in the Premiership all the same.

I'd go for Vllla purely for the fact Torres is made of glass
