I'm all for starting with a classical one (I started with an shitty Eko) and when you get a bit better, switch to a very good acoustic. If you learn the basics on the classical guitar (which has a wider keyboard and thicker nylon strings), then playing the acoustic (which has a smaller keyboard and steel strings) will be a piece of cake.
Fucking hell, it's 'only' 89 euro so I ordered it. Includes a DVD for the strings, a bag to carry it and some other stuff as well. Can't be such a bad buy and you have to start somewhere. Looking forward to play it and once again, thanks all for the info
Nice one Jorn. Now we all will be waiting for your first covers. There's an awful lot of songs you can play once you get your first 2 or 3 chords right, you only have to ask.
While we're on the subject of guitars could anybody recommend a good acoustic guitar for a decent price (max. £200)
an Epiphone would be the obvious choice. I think you can get an Epiphone Hummingbird for that price. That's a great guitar. Anyway, the best thing you could do is to get inside the guitar shop and try EVERY guitar between £250 and £150. You can get an Epiphone and it sounds great, fine, but you might find a guitar that feels better in your hands or sounds better to your ears. You might fall in love with a short neck guitar, or with a guitar that has a smaller body, who knows?
That's how I got mine: went in the shop with the intention of buying an Epiphone EJ-200. Tried it, it was alright but I wasn't sure so I tried everything they had on sale within my budget (also, guitars a bit more expensive and a bit cheaper, so I could make some comparisons) and walked out of the shop with a CORT NTL20F NAT. Always thought Cort were shit, but that's the best acoustic I ever tried (and it was the same price of the EJ-200!).

Also, what kind of kit would I need to be able to record electric guitar directly into my laptop? External sound card? A direct input box? Any particular software?
Want to get a bunch of kit bought at the same time tbh, not sure if an amp recording into a mic is sufficient or if I need external sound, D.I. box etc.

I've written loads of songs this year. About 17 songs and 2 instrumentals. Most of them are really good and a few average ones. Havin' a shit year gives you some artistic inspiration apparently. I really hope to write only two songs in 2017. Fuck you 2016:D

The latest Jesus Abyss release has inspired mt to release something new. I was using an Adobe Audion 2017 free trial which has now expired which is shit.
Does anybody know where I can get a free version of Adobe Audition, even if it's an older version? Or is there a way I can "crack" the free trial to make it permanent? I remember doing something like that a few years back but can't remember what it involved.
