Yeah I so started drinking at five. Rod & his m8 were meant to be through by 7. Instead they arrived late AND WENT FOR A MEAL. No shit.
By this time, I was already in the pub which was blasting out the album, and was generally absolutely didzgusted by their faggot-like chat.
Anyway, the MAIN EVENT.
The atmosphere inside the Barrowland was electric. The usual tunes were being played before hand - Roses, Weller etc. Crowd were chanting LIAM LIAM LIAM right from the start. I'm not ashamed to say that I had butterflies in my stomach when the lights dimmed.
When the band came on, I immediately hit the front. 4 Letter Word was MASSIVE. Crowd down the front was absolute mayhem at this point. It was as savage a Barrowland crowd as I've been in.
The lads looked edgy for the first few songs. Liam didn't say much, but he was clearly extremely focused, as more than one flying pint drained him, but he didn't bat an eyelid, apart from one time when he montioned to a geezer that had hit him in the leg.
I won't go through the set in general, but The Roller was trememdous, but TBH, the real highlight of the set was Bring the Light, which Liam introduced as ''You still sitting on the fence, Barrowland? Well, if you are still sitting on the fence, this song's called Bring the Light.
Over the piece, the band didn't put a foot wrong. They were as tight as Abs' ma's arsehole. Andy takes stage left, Gem right, and both of them played a range of guitars that I'm sure Rod will bore you with later.
I reckon by the time they're a few gigs in, Liam'll loosen up a bit, and begin to enjot it a bit more.
The crowd, myself included, loved every single minute of it. Honestly, there were no cynics to be seen. Every song was greeted with a deafening roar of approval.
On the way out, a few guys were singing ''Who the fuck is Noel Gallagher?'' Says it all really.
You guys are in for a treat when you see them.

Anyway, watching that video gave me fucking goosebumps as well, the entire crowd singing the guitar part before Liam has even sung a note. Beers flying everywhere.

Probably because it's a city full of alcoholic violent maniacs. Not like Edinburgh, where you can get a pint from 6 am onwards Anyway, I'm off oot myself. I SEE NO POINT IN WHAT YOU'RE THINKING

My highlights were obviously the opener, amazing...Man of misery was immense, so was the morning son. Was really surprised how For Anyone sounded, really enjoyed it seeing as I despise the album version
