Has he definitely ditched the Cardinals now? I swore never to see him again after last time (tho I said that the two times before) but after III/IV I'm excited again.

Hope so!
I've seen Ryan 5 times and 2 were sit down affairs (BOOOOO and RUBBISH), once at the FORUM which was EPIC and I was too smashed to remember almost any of it on the Cardinology tour.

That gig we saw in Victoria seated was pretty good I thought. Crowd were pricks though.
Last 3 I wished I hadn't gone. Bush hall acoustic, load of shit, balldog farted. shepherds bush empire a few days later, completely shit then brixton about 2 years ago which was even worse.
I enjoyed victoria gig and the forum remains one of my favourite ever gigs. Don't think I saw him any other times. He canceled a good few times the cunt.

I think this is being talked about as a solo show, so no III/IV stuff. He played a 5 song set at some charity thing before Xmas, playing all new songs and one oldie under the name 'The Ryan Adams Band', which had all acoustic instruments, sounded really really good. His new stuff is reported to be solo too. Wish the Cardinals would have toured III/IV though, in small venues. It would have been HUGE.

Via the man himself:
"I wrote some new tunes this winter on my acoustic guitar. I think I'd like to play them for whoever wants to hear them. Please don't yell at me."

I may be in Italy then - can't remember when I fly back. Have a feeling it is the 21/22nd but i'll check
The Manc date might be a goer though
The Victoria one was enjoyable - don't think I've seen you since actually. The Hammersmith one was rotten, full of cunts who needed a piss every 2 secs

THIS IS HAPPENING. Cardinals touring III/IV woulda been amazing because that album is off the charts good. BUT any new ryan is great ryan at this stage. gonna be great to have him return.

An acoustic set at the Concertgebouw, a venue that is together with the Musikverein and Boston Symphony hall considered as the greatest concert hall on the planet, is going to be fucking huge

I never saw him live, he isn't that keen on coming to the Netherlands because the crowd pissed him off in Amsterdam once I read. Last time he was here is like 4 or 5 years ago I think and I was too late for tickets (as always). Hope he's in a good mood this time because I'll definitely go. If not, I'll burn his socks

Ha, don't worry it will be worth the money! I would love to see him acoustic.. I've seen him once opening for Oasis in 2008! It was a good show except for the few cunts in front of me who kept shouting Strawberry Wine at him all night.

Yeah it's not even that much, had to buy the more expensive tickets because the other seemed already sold out. Ryan Adams opening for Oasis, the mad fer it rating must've been 11/10 at these gigs
