no it will be good.
bring the light works because liam wrote it. imagine noel writing something like that it would be laughable.
bring the light is a caricature written by a caricature

Noel is a good songwriter. Liam is a way of life, an inspiration, an absolute idol and hero. Hope that clears things up. Well not really, tbh. I still don't get your no substance thinking, Matty me mate. The man has written upteen absolute CLASSIX. Doesn't he deserve a bit more than being fobbed off cos he's gone solo or isn't with Liam anymore? I wouldn't mind if we'd heard the record, but no one's heard any of it yet, so people saying its shit and his stuff will have no substance seems a tad daft, no? (Though i know this is mostly messing about. The "Noel's a cunt" stuff in the BDI threads seem a bit more genuine) Plus i reckon Noel is still a reet legend in his own right, what's made you go off him so much? Gem did The Quiet Ones It's strange I think most people have the opinion that Noel's the wet one and his album is going to absolutely melt our faces. Yet the last album he wrote Shock and Bag It Up which are both brilliant and even the recent rockers he's sung like Mucky Fingers and Waiting For The Rapture have been mega. If anything it looks like he was the one giving Oasis some bollox. It will be interesting to see what he does. I definetly think he is going to go in a direction and have a consistant style through the album rather than covering all the bases like Beady Eye.

The media seem to be expecting some kind of really different, experimental record, but i could see him coming back with a pretty straight-forward set of rockers and a few ballads. Dunno why, but i think Karl is actually gonna be proven right about him trying to ape Weller a bit (career-wise, anyway). I think the first one will be pretty Oasis-like and straightforward, then he'll get more interesting and take more risks as he goes on and gets more confident as a solo artist. The first one should be all about building that solo audience. He's gonna need some bloody good tunes, mind. Of course, it's all bloody guesswork innit , but thats what i can see happening Watch him come out with Leftfield meets Sgt Pepper over 7 discs now, the contrary cunto

Liam howletts Liam's mate tho isn't he?
Amorphous androgynous would be better- Noel could finally make the 60's, trippy, psychedelic groove fest he's always wanted to/ is capable of. But like Mahoney said what he'll actually do is try and make a weller album

Liam howletts Liam's mate tho isn't he? Ahh so you were being facetious? Well done, problem is the prodigy did remixes on the last album and Liam sang on the god awful noise fest a years back, so it's not that out of the question....

not interested in this at all. no buzz, no energy... no substance without Liam tbh. WTF. No substance? Seriously, wat? What is it with the Noel backlash on here these days? Cos he chucked in Oasis? Cos he wrote You've Got The Heart Of A Star? I don't really get it, loike. HE SOUNDTRACKED MY LEEF. And for that, Noelly G will always get a Free Cunt Pass. I can't wait til his record comes out and some of you DEBBIE DOWNERS lapdance all over it. For the first week, anyway. Absolutely. Noel for laif.

No I was laughing cos you seem to think Liam H is a poster on this board and wouldnt produce Noel's album cos he's "mates with liam". Chance to produce the first solo outing and much anticipated material of rock n roll royalty or sack it off cos he's mates with his brother??? Like he'd give a rats arse. It's only bellends of here that think it's a Noel v Liam thing (except Noel & Liam)
