Thought we had a thread, couldnt find it. Anyway, how cool is this motherfucker  I cant wait for his LP - out in may. Inhaler, Come Closer & Rearrange are the first three singles, plenty of good stuff in the album by the looks of it, Also, his cover of "rainbow woman" is amazing. Any likes?  |

it's funny because he gets loads of press, knows the right people, hangs out with all the in rock stars yet nobody really gives a shit about his music at all. You'd think with all the attention he gets he'd be playing decent venues but he's still only managing college & bar venues.

alright, i'm not saying the man is the true saviour of rock n roll, but his music, his past three singles all have classic rock n roll elements, from the musical arrangement to the lyrics, to the style of singing.
i am not saying they're amazing tunes, but i'm saying the man is doing what he's preaching. he doesnt got no "for anyone" 's on his set.
mahoney's right on the attention, unfortunately though this kind of "dated" rock n roll music doesnt really appeal to many does it? shit, even if beady eye were a brand new band, 31 at the chart would be a fucking achievement in our days.

True fact is I have never ever found anything remotely interesting in any song with him related. He's also a terribly dark spot on the expedient of a girl who has dated the likes of Albert Hammond jr. and James Franco...

 you know what, on first listen I thought this was as rubs as everyone else in this thread, buuuuuut i revisited it today whilst walking aboot in the sun, and a few tracks came over a lot better. Not a fan of (most of) the production though, and can anyone actually hear Noel on My Fantasy? Deffo won't be featuring in my end of year list atm, but its, well, alreet. Surprised by the amount of hate its getting on here, as some of it isn't far off from Last Shadow Puppets quality, i'm now finding

The album's actually fairly decent, but overall there's something quite unexciting about his music. All of the rock numbers just feel a bit 'samey' IMO. |
