martyrs is fucking BRUTAL (and dreadful imo, but that's not the point). i mean, it's not hyper-gory like lots of lower-budget b-movie type horrors, but it's still pretty rough going.

Yeah, it is brutal in places but the violence in the film is completely necessary to the films plot, the violence isn't there just to thrill & without it the film wouldn't work. Unlike these rubbish torture movies like Saw & Hostel where the violence & gore is only used to thrill, titillate & have people go 'omg that's sooo disgusting!'

Also, It's a 1000 more times interesting than inception.

yeah it is necessary to the film's plot, but still a nasty one to recommend to someone who doesn't like gore ffs and it is much better than hostel i'll agree with that!

Sorry, everyday I get a little more angry about the film, today JP mentioning he liked it has triggered it off again, the day before, the advert that says it's even better second time.
