Always the biggest TV event of the year. I have complete trust in Larry to stop when it's time so another season means another hilarious one.

Some details of the first 4 episodes:
Episode #71: “The Divorce” Larry learns his lawyer isn’t kosher, and rescinds a cookie order from the Girl-Scout daughter of a beleaguered sports owner. Directed by David Steinberg.
Episode #72: “The Safe House” Larry becomes an unlikely role model for battered women; Richard Lewis’ relationship with a burlesque performer is put to the test; Leon survives a case of mistaken identity. Directed by Bryan Gordon. Episode #73: “Palestinian Chicken” Larry plays “social assassin” to the hilt at a dinner party, on the golf course, and at a Palestinian restaurant with chicken to die for. Directed by Robert B. Weide. Episode #74 “The Smiley Face” Larry vows to topple a sacred dating taboo, and regrets making concessions to his new office neighbor; Jeff’s alibi to get out of a dinner backfires. Directed by Jeff Schaffer.

Loved it. Bit of a weak ending, and it was a bit close to the fat piano-playing ginger girl attacking Larry in season 2 or 3, but the facial-expression still had me hooting. So fond of these characters now, that I found myself beaming throughout. Just Larry, Leon, and Jeff standing around playing pool gives me a warm glow. Love Funkhouser too "No more having sex with two women in my bed!"Larry inserting the tampon up his armpit had me going too

Was alright, not one of the best “I get plenty of hook ups Larry. You don't see 'em. You don't notice the small shit Larry.”

It's not as good as previous series; having said that it's still pretty good.

I've never been able to get properly into Curb, the loose style of the scenes doesn't really work for me, I enjoy it when it's on but never really feel like bothering with the whole lot. But having said that I do absolutely adore Leon, so could anyone point me the way of some of the more Leon-heavy episodes? I saw one from the last season where Larry made him pretend to be an adopted Jew who'd lost the ability to multiply or something, it absolutely did me in

First episode was good but a bit formulaic. Second episode was quality - classic Curb.

Palestinian Chicken was up there in the top 5 Curb episodes for me, alongside The Doll, The Car Pool Lane, The Table Read and any one of a number of others. Incredible episode, so many layers. Really liked the satirical take on the Ground Zero fiasco.
Last episode was funny but it could never live upto the previous. Still, apparently next week is the week that drives Larry to go to New York.

Curb is weird these days, for me. First time i see a new episode I almost always ending up feeling a bit disappointed, yet by the second viewing I'm enjoying them a load more. Whereas the first few seasons got me pretty instantly. Very strange. So i wasn't blown away by this season so far, yet rewatching all 4 this week was much more fun, and made me appreciate them more. Gotta say, last season was pretty magic. Went through that again this week, after getting the DVD The scenes with Larry and Jerry Seinfeld just sat round talking shit = GOLD I do miss the days of the bonafide hilarious Curb wrap-up/pay-off scene at the end of those early episodes, though. Still, 8 seasons in, and its still a pretty great fooking show, and totally unmissable for me. So, um yeah, more please

This season has been fucking brilliant. Gervais episode was a bit weak in parts but the last episode was great.
