In all seriousness Moyes has got to be close to the exit door now. Although i seem to remember Kenwright said that as long as he's at Everton, Moyes will be the manager. Probably not the most intelligent thing to say. Nah, the guy's got a proven track record. Yes today was an embarassing result and they've started badly in the league, but they'll need to be still in the mire in 6 weeks time before they should even think about sacking him.

Gotta admit he's taking a risk with the English kids though. They will be able to explain very clearly how he touched them up! I'm surprised nothing has come out (pun intended) already. Maybe he's giving them a wide berth and sticking to the confused French boys for the time being. He will get them eventually though! Arsene always get his boys. maybe twitchy should touch up some of your defenders to keep them on their toes and stop them from being so terminally fucking dreadful ;D Knew you'd bite lol

I was writing to the guy at shit horses record label just after the shootout about something to do with booking agents and had to delete it as I'd realised I'd had my rage about everton spill into an email asking him to re-do something!
anyway. shocker. tactically its wierd. the comeback against man u the other week disguised some strange goings on and the game against newcastle was genuinely horrific. Its not time for moyes to go yet but it is time for kenwright to be having a word with him I'm sure.

This reminds me of the end of Walter Smith's time at Everton, there seems to be an air of defeat there, like there's no belief things are going to improve.

Although he was shit as well.

Isn't it par for the course that Everton start the season poorly? What's the big deal? They're Everton. Moyes is probably the best thing they have going for them. They'd be utterly insane to throw that away.

The manager has lost the dressing room and the squad is getting old, and the youth capable of developing are jumping ship to larger clubs EVERTON ARE IN SHAMBLES, Enjoy your cold Tuesday nights away at Scunthorpe next season! Oh, and this is nothing against Moyes, always liked him. These are simply facts.

I know a thing a two about relegation jumping up at you from nowhere, you lot won't actually get snatched by it i don't think (THOUGH THE POSSIBILITY LOOMS) but, again, you'll finish bottom-half, and below Newcastle. Beckford. Get back to smashing Gillingham man (brad! ). No business in your squad. And honestly, most of your squad are getting on in age, now, I love footballers in their thirties, and think the argument that once you hit like 24 you're past your prime like the hysterics love to claim these days but is ridiculous but let's face it, your club has plateaued. Timmy H/Arteta/Cahill/Saha/even GNev, I like them all, quality playesr as well, but they aren't getting any younger and bringing in guys like Beckford, and Magueye and Silva aren't going to cut it in the replacement field. Gosling fucked off, Rodwell and Coleman won't stay. Even your shit players like Distin are past it. Scary times ahead considering you've no cash to spend (and that'a sad way to look at it - but it is what it is). You're following Liverpool through the exit door mate. Sad times on Merseyside.

i know nothing about relegation because everton have suffered it fewer times than any other club, and one of those times is incomprehensible and probably just us being altruistic and letting more fans get a chance to see dixie dean play.
also how is a squad with only 4 players over 30 in it getting old? 28 is thought to be peak, not 24.

Well for starters Anichebe, Yakubu and Yobo are all at least 38.

Well for starters Anichebe, Yakubu and Yobo are all at least 38. yobo has gone on loan and is unlikely to come back. yakubu I'll give you though he is 27 in nigerian years, but my sister taught anichebe who was raised on merseyside

Long story short is your club will fail miserably this season whilst Newcastle will finish above expectations thus being somewhere between 7-10 and you falling to 12-15.
Agreed?

not at all. we've started worse than usual but starting badly is completely normal for everton and we'll still finish top 8 but that will be the massive failure. moyes has fucked up big time and it should be his last time he's forgiven for it but he's turned it around half a dozen times before and theres no reason to suggest he won't again. Dan Gosling being treated for his long term injury at newcastle rather than at everton doesn't really change that ps: current relegation odds www.oddschecker.com/football/english/premier-league/relegationbetfair (which is the best reflection of where money is actually going usually) has newcastle at 7.4 to go down and everton at 34

Time will tell me boy, time will tell.
Are we still on for the wager that you will finish twenty points above Newcastle then?

Admitting defeat then, that's noble and fair enough.
I propose a new one, simply a gentleman's agreement (unless you'd like to take stakes further) that Newcastle will simply finish above Everton in the table. no points spreads.
