Anna Calvi - 'Anna Calvi' Elbow - 'Build A Rocket Boys!' James Blake - 'James Blake' Katy B - 'On A Mission' Metronomy - 'The English Riviera' Tinie Tempah - 'Disc-Overy' PJ Harvey - 'Let England Shake' Gwilym Simcock - 'Good Days At Schloss Elmau' Everything Everything - 'Man Alive' Ghostpoet - 'Peanut Butter Blues & Melancholy Jam' King Creosote and Jon Hopkins - 'Diamond Mine' Adele - '21' Predictable as hell. Glad to see PJ Harvey's LP there. I doubt she'll win due to the fact she's won it before. My money would be on big Adele or James Blake. This time last year we had a blog We're lucky to get 10 posts a day now if you take away Dave saying WHAT.

overall a very dull and predictable list though. would like pj harvey to win but probably be adele.

JP, what are the dates these records must fall within? I remember you posted it in the blog last year.
That way I can put my own top 10 in here with Beady Eye in bold to represent the fact that they would be champions.

Cheers.
Just been through my RYM. There was only half a dozen or so records from the UK over that period that I'd give 4 stars & above to. The rest of the world > Britain.

Don't understand why everyone and their dog is spaffing over Katy B. She's okay I guess but nothing remotely exciting. Tinie Tempah is terrible. Wild Beasts shouldve got nominated.

Gotta be James Blake innit, really hit it bigtime, with a tremendous album.

Why are PJ, Elbow & Adele nominated?
I'm sure this was set up to celebrate good NEW british music back in the day.......(I'm sure I say this every year)

I'm really surprised Pala isn't on there, great album and easily a step on from the debut - which did get nominated.
Nae really surprised Yuck isn't there, but would've been good to see.
