Noel and his female backing vocalist are going to nail this song. Think Only Skin by Joanna Newsom. As long as this isn't the reprise version, I'm all for it.

IT SHOULD BE GOOD, HE'S BEEN STORING SONGS AWAY FOR IT SINCE 2001. Tbf, the roller's been around since 2001 and it didn't help BDI any. That was Noels decision though, Noels said many times before he's kept songs aside which he doesnt think are right for Oasis. No song will help Beady Eye and no song will help Noel. Everybody knows Liam and Noel. The charts are dead and theres no chance of Liam or Noel getting any bigger than they already are. Slightly off topic like but it just shows yet again if you need a reminder that Noel is really bad at making song selections for albums. Whether you like BDI or not (I HOPE SO YOU FUCKERS), its fucking clear as a day that Millionaire, The Roller, SOTEOTN and The Morning Son absolutely piss all over the weaker tracks on the last Oasis album yet Noel picked the likes of Nature Of Reality over them.

Was that totally his call on Dig out your soul, though? I seem to recall reading at one point that they were going to do a big full-on "OASIS" album, but then they got this "groove" idea into their (read: Noel and Sardy) heads and so the songy songs went out and the "to be where there's life"s and "soldier on"s came in at the expense of millionaire etc.
(re-reads post)....I'm not even sure what my point is here, but yes, the nature of reality is shit.

Doesn't sound like total dadrock shit, though I'm sure with a plodding beat and cringeworthy lyrics this situation could still be rectified.
1-0 Noel right now though. I'm on neither team btw.

And if four letter word was written then, it could have fit well on DOYS. I still think Noel underplayed Andy a bit, and Gem too to a lesser level, even though their songs aren't up there with his. Some of the songs they have on DGSS are better than most if not all of their contributions to Oasis. I mean The Roller isn't that hard to produce and would have fit well on HC, but it was either this one or Songbird the way i see it. To me, Noel had in mind that fans wouldn't react well to Andy or Gem having strong tracks or even singles in Oasis back then. It was 2001, new line up, Oasis had to keep its identity, and the identity was the Gallaghers. When it was time to select tracks, he would favor his, then liam's, then andy and gem's. I suppose the same pattern applied for later albums, and that's perfectly understandable.

the problem is that andy's and especially gem's songs have all sucked dick.

Wow the music on his website is incredible....beautiful, haunting and epic in every sense. I'd settle for this being on the actual album as im worried it could be spoilt somehow when this is near perfection. it literally has just annihilated "bdi" on it's own.....the wars won guys, time to light up the cigars and enjoy
Imagine stop the clocks and record machine produced on this scale....wow
