It's surprisingly good. Here's my rating/mini-review of each song: Everybody's on the Run - Majestic, sweeping, emotional. Probably one of Noel's best ever. Dream On - Just because it has 'dream' in the title doesn't mean Noel had to make it sound 'dreamy'. He does try but it doesn't work, sounds quite whimsical but not in a good way. Not as good as Wigwam. If I Had a Gun... - It's grew on me. Thought it was a bit 'Dadrock' to start with but it's quite an anthem. Will go down well live. The Death of You and Me - Wasn't a massive fan of the single, 6/10, bit it fits in well. (I Wanna Live in a Dream in My) Record Machine - Surprised by this, thought it would sound pretty much identical to the demo but I was wrong. Big, big stuff. AKA... What a Life! - Seems out of place on the record. Decent tune but a bit repetitive Soldier Boys and Jesus Freaks - Fucking brilliant, this. A real stomper with Noel howling wildly and tearing up the axe in the outro. AKA... Broken Arrow - Instrumental, filler at best. For what is going on, it lasts too long. (Stranded On) The Wrong Beach - Breezy, laid back acoustic number. It's definitely a summer song and Noel would be foolish not to release this next summer. Stop the Clocks - Again, I'm surprised by this. Noel closes the album the same way he opens it. Huge, emotional, full of strings. When he gets it right he really is a God. Think you're a bit optimistic throughout, Noel's vocals ruin Everyboy's...for me. Soldier Boys is defintely the pick of the bunch though. Big tune ;D

Did yu get any splinters when you came out of the wood work bro? Could be a contact high. As for Everybody's On The Run, I see what you're saying, they're a bit overpowering, drowns the song in parts. You can't deny how amazing the strings are, surely? They're a stroke of genius, wonder if Noel wrote those parts himself??

Oh yeah man. I get you.
It's just an 8.5/10 tune instead of a 10/10 tune for me. It was the only tune that could realistacally match Wigwam, Morning, Bring The Light etc for me and it's no where near.

What's your favourite Noel-penned b-side from the BNH era dberger26? I always struggle to pick between My Sister Lover and (I Got) The Fever.
Have you ever had punched anyone to oasis, blueice?
