had no idea that andres and pablo were that linked. misinformation is rife with the escobars it seems. half the colombians i met say that andres got gunned down twelve times with the murderer shouting "goal" after each shot and the other half say that is total bollocks definitely gonna be checking out that documentary His death was definitely a milestone in Colombian history...it feels like part of the innocence of that generation was lost that day. At least for those of us old enough to remember the news and his funeral on national TV. I found it interesting how they linked his death to Pablo's...and there is a definite connection. You should ignore my 6's and 5's and get this watched, Bazzaroo. was just jestin' about the 5's and 6's. mostly i shall do what i never do and download it. really interested to watch it.

No it's good, but it's a tough watch. Had to come home and stick on Alan Partridge to cheer myself up a bit.

[059] The Kids Are All RightThis is an all right film, as the title says. Nothing more, nothing less. I thought Mark Ruffalo's character could've had a bit more dimension to it, but other than that it was entertaining and light-hearted enough. 6.5/10 [060] The Talented Mr. RipleyOh, the homo-eroticism in this film is off the hook, fantastic. This is a pretty decent suspense film, but again, kinda light-hearted (how can it not be? it stars Matt Damon's winning smile and boyish good looks). It runs a bit too long but the performances are all good, I think, especially Gwyneth Paltrow. I've always had a soft spot for her. 7/10

Fucking sad bitch more like. #61 Mudhoney (1965) Not the usual Russ Meyer sleaze you expect to see, this was more of a suspenseful drama with some nasty characters. Worked on some levels though due to this having more of a serious tone to his usual work it perhaps could of done with a stronger cast. Probably was quite daring for '65. Also if you replace the U & D with an A & H the film would be called MAHONEY. 5.5 #62 Lemmy [2010] A good documentary on one of Rocks most notorious figures. Was entertaining though perhaps could of done with less time praising of Lemmy though mostly useless washed up rock stars. Time would of been better spent on how he has lived & still lives his life as the scenes of his home, hobbies & son where much more interesting than seeing him on the road being a rock star. 7

The Kids Are All Right is better than The Graduate and The Lion King? IN WAT FUCKING WORLDJust rewatched Shutter Island. Enjoyed it much more this time round, without the hype and people telling everyone beforehand to expect a big twist. Going on RYM to push it up a star to 4. So there!

Predictability aside, I'm a mark for movies like this. And like Ledger in Dark Knight, Bale lived up to the hype for his role in this, IMO. Also, check out the youtube footage of the Sanchez and Neary fights; the fights were well choreographed. 8/10 Depressingly realistic. I thought Ryan Gosling's performance outshone Michelle Williams', but she got the Oscar nom? Gosling was outstanding in this. Really likable, and real believable. 7/10 8.5/10 9/10 8/10 Obviously I've never met him, but Super Hans reminds me of CM Punk.

Midnight Cowboy - 7/10 Knew next to nothing about this before watching it so I was taken aback by the whole thing for most of the film. I'm going to have to watch it again soon I think. Voight and Hoffman were both immense. I should think my rating will rise after another viewing. South of the Border - 7/10 Top stuff from Oliver Stone. Look forward to watching his Comandante next. "Since Chavez took control of the nations oil industry the economy doubled in size within 6 years, poverty was reduced by half and extreme poverty by 70%" I wonder whatever happened to VENOASIS, what a tube he was.

Nice one, Andy. LOVE Midnight Cowboy. Was proper tearing-up at the end Just watched Roman Polanski's The Tenant. Oh man, he's fast becoming one of my alltime favourite directors, as this was yet another absolute corker. Bleakness, darkness, depression, madness. All Polanski hallmarks, and so well made. Rosemary's Baby, Chinatown, and Repulsion are all stone-cold classics, too. What a man.
