I enjoyed the Tenant when I saw it though probably not half as much as you did. Will re-watch it sometime soon. Still not seen Chinatown either. The cross-dressing scenes were disturbingly quite funny.
Midnight Cowboy is one of the best films I've ever seen. Amazing amazing film. 10/10 all night.

Yeah I much preferred Rosemary's Baby on first viewing. I wanna watch The Tenant again. It appears I gave it 3 stars though it's definitely better than that. Was more stingy a couple of years back with my ratings most probably. Slowly working my way through Cronenberg's films so on that buzz right now. #63 The Brood [1979] Well, I'm not quite sure what to say but What-The-Fuck. The concept of this film is ridiculous & it took a long time for it to reveal exactly what it was all about but the final third elevates the film up a good few notches. By the end of the film I'd totally bought the insane plot & was glad to of been taken along for the ride. There was a few scenes which I found generally creepy & disturbing & I watch my fair share of questionable films. All the usual themes that make Cronenberg's films such unique oddities were in place & I'm still yet to see a film of his I've not liked. 7.75

Man on Wire (2008) I enjoyed the heist film part of it. It really was neat seeing how all the different players went about pulling it off. And the watching the guy work was amazing. Philippe unfortunately seemed a bit of a cunt, though. And it was confirmed when we learned of the change in his romantic situation right ofter becoming famous. 7/10

Nice. I really love Black Christmas I've seen it 3/4 times now & enjoyed it slightly more every time I've seen it. I've seen people on boards argue for 17 pages over what was first that or Halloween Really unique film as far as Slashers go plus it's got John Saxon who is like Bronson number II for me, I'll watch anything with him in even if I know it will be shit. Also, the bird from Superman says Fellatio lol Bad Taste, only seen the once really couldn't get into it. Seemed a bit too much but again that was a good three years ago now will revisit as I've got it on DVD. Is Slither good fun then? Always meant to give that a bash. IT doesn't hold up well at all for me though I'm sure we've had this conversation a couple of times before.

Yeah, Slither is pure b-movie fun. It's quite funny too. I reckon you'd love it. Well underated Tbh, i think most of my fondness for IT is nostalgia Terrified me as a kid (still does a bit )

[061] The NotebookMmmmm Ryan Gosling in cabbie hats . The only thing I enjoy about this film is the chemistry between those two. It's way too sappy and corny, even for a hopeless romantic like meself. (no rating from me now as it's obvious I'm insane)

The Social Network (2010) What the fuck? I have a difficult time believing the film was made the way it was because it really was rather boring and the Zuck character was, while right most of the time, not all that interesting. I liked the pacing of the film. The performances were ok. Maybe the dude did an amazing job playing Zuck, but who really cares when the character is such an uninteresting schmuck. There was something there that kept me watching intently. Though I'm not quite sure what it was. 5/10

Finding Neverland, 2004 [11]
The story about how the story about Peter Pan became. How life is led best through the imagination and how people always try to bring you down when you have something going for you. I obviously really really liked it. It's not really about anything else. Performances are good overall. How could the not be? Kate Winslet, Johnny Depp, Dustin Hoffman and some good kids too. And a dog that plays a bear. It's just too bad that you have to get up tomorrow to the ordinary world. I wish I could climb that mountain forever and ever and dance with the birds on the surrounding clouds. 8/10

Kick Ass Been about six months since I last watched this. Love it. The actions scenes are actually really high quality, it's funny, and actually well acted. Pretty much everything you can ask for from a movie. Nic Cage is epic in this movie too. His Adam West impersonation is dead on. Plus I want to bang the hell out of Katie (the girl Kick Ass bangs.. Not Hit Girl). Oh, the music is pretty damn good too. I'm pissed the instrumentals didn't make the actual soundtrack, cause they were really good. 8.5/10

I honestly had to switch Kick-Ass off after 15 minutes it infuriated me so much. It's the side of American culture which I can't fucking stand. #64 Naked Lunch (1991) So I've finally found a Cronenberg film I didn't particularly enjoy. I've never read the novel so I've no idea how close to the original it is but I've always thought from a critical point of view sometimes this can give you a more genuine look as the piece as a movie rather than how it's translated from text. Apparently it doesn't stick to the book anyway. This one took the piss a bit too much. The Surreal moments were just a bit too silly for me. I always enjoy these type of moments in Cronenberg's films but usually you are given some exciting drama to go with it, this never had that. Your given the premise of a man who's killed his wife, is addicted to Bug killer & has made up a paranoid fantasy that he's living in. We get this within 20'odd minutes then are left for the final hour and 40 of him living this out. Nothing is ever that interesting or gripping & it drags on to a completely unsatisfying end. I spent a good half of the film looking at Peter Weller thinking where the fuck do I know you from then it hit me, MURPHY!, A.K.A Robocop. 5.5 #65 Blacula (1972) Daft & campy Blaxploitation. Entertaining yet completely forgettable. The end 15 minutes were surprisingly well done. 5 #66 They Live (1988) I caught this film on one of those weird sky channels when I was about 15 & really enjoyed it but couldn't remember much about it minus the 'I'm here to chew bubblegum and kick ass... and I'm all out of bubblegum' scene. John Carpenter is the master of making small set pieces look much grander than they actually are & stretches out a small cast & budget into something almost quite epic. I love the concept of this film and considering it was made in '88 probably holds more true today than it did back then. Roddy Piper does a good job in the lead role, obviously not a great actor but the whole film rests on him being believable & being given information through his character so he does really well. I hate to say it but this is the sort of film I'd love to see a big budget remake of. Whilst there is nothing wrong with They Live I can't help but wish the entire concept could be given alot more substance through a big blockbuster film. 7

I love kick ass too, and the girls (both of them, hit girl is such a cutie. I don't want to bang her though. yet. Hey dave, are you also thinking about how you'll be able to work as a high school teacher? when they let you back..) The Flyer, 2005. [12] A little street kid and his brother are up to no good, started making troubles in the neighbourhood. One of them said "what up, fly away kid brother" and the other one got caught. The kid brother flew away and became a circus artist, a trampolinist as a matter of fact. Saved by an old man he becomes the great black hope in circus artistery. Until his older brother gets out of jail. What till happen next??!! Will he be able to perform the tripple flip or will he go back to being a gangster? What will his new girl friend do? And the guy from Paris, the mother of all circus artistery, what is he doing there? 6/10 +1 Because two brothers always reminds me of Johnny Drama.

Kick Ass and Scott Pilgrim are two popular releases i just couldn't get into last year. Though unlike Pilgrim, i actually made it to the end of Kick Ass. I don't find it a baaaaad film, just really mediocre. I honestly don't get why so many people went so nuts for it.
Saw Never Let Me Go (2011) yesterday. 'Twas pretty good. Don't really wanna say much about it, as i don't wanna give anything away, but i went into it with no real prior knowledge of what it was about, and i think it really added to the film for me, once the reveals were subtly pulled out of the bag. I say this with a lot of films recently, but i don't think it'll be for everyone, but i liked it, me.
In other news, the brilliant Animal Kingdom finally gets a UK release this month, and i recommend it big-times. Was in my films of the year list, and had me gripped throughout. It's on all yer torrent sites in perfect quality too.
