Harold and Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay - 8/10 Loved it. Thought is was way over the top.
Quantumf Solace - 7/10 Thought it was decent unlike most people I know that hated it.

I agree with Erica, thought Kick-Ass was gimicky, uninteresting and completely in love with itself but Scott Pilgrim (though you could level most of the same criticisms at it as Kick Ass) pitched all of it's cutesy, self aware 'indie' sensibilities just right for me. It felt a big, bright, fresh slab of fun, and I was all ready to hate it as well Wasn't that popular though was it? I thought it flopped at the cinema

Paranormal Activity 2 3/10 I actually quite enjoyed the first one, but the 2nd (a prequel) was hokey, not nearly as spooky as the first, and very cliched. It actually made me a little angry at the way they tied it into the first. It was not scary at all really. The first one was quite well done in many respects with the gimmicks, but this one lacked any of that ingenuity Nice one, Andy. LOVE Midnight Cowboy. Was proper tearing-up at the end Just watched Roman Polanski's The Tenant. Oh man, he's fast becoming one of my alltime favourite directors, as this was yet another absolute corker. Bleakness, darkness, depression, madness. All Polanski hallmarks, and so well made. Rosemary's Baby, Chinatown, and Repulsion are all stone-cold classics, too. What a man. Polanski is my all-time fave probs. Got Repulsion on the blu-ray, its soooooooo fucking good. His latest, The Ghost Writer, while not on par with his classics is probably his best since Frantic. Hes a real weird cunt too. Theres a great documentary about him called "Polanski: Wanted and Desired" that is well worth a watch. It mostly focuses on his legal trouble with fucking a child, but its a good insight into him. You have genuine sympathy for all sides watching it. As for Kick-Ass/Scott Pilgrim. I thought Kick-Ass was alright. There were some enjoyable bits and it had at least some grounding to it. Nothing groundbreaking, but no hatred aside from the casting of Nicolas Cage, whom I can barely tolerate. I refuse to watch Scott Pilgrim. Hate that cunt.

[063] Harley Davidson and the Marlboro Man ...is all I've got to say about that one. [064] Bender's Big ScoreMeh, you get what you pay for, really. [065] Wall-EThe first 35 minutes of this film have got to be some of the best of the last 10 years? The best animated film? Probably. Amazing and heartwarming and funny. That sequence after Eve discovers the plant? TBH [066] GiganteI recommend this to anyone who enjoys Latin American cinema, it's from Uruguay and it's one of my favorites. It's really good, a really different kind of love story. It plays with your social perceptions and tricks you at every corner, all with minimum dialogue. [067] Blade RunnerI love how dark this is, it's becoming one of my favorite Sci-Fi films ever. It takes more merit to create a realistic Earth that looks like another world than to create another world altogether. In my opinion, at least. I love the production design of this film, it's inspiring. Btw, Der Effe = Rutger Hauer, surely?

#67 For Y'ur Height Only [1981] What, the, fuck! Possibly the best 'bad' movie I've ever seen. A Filipino exploitation James Bond ripoff starring a midget called Weng Weng. I was a bit cautious seeing this as I never find your average midget humour amusing but they play this film out completely dead pan. As far as they were concerned they were making a piece of cinema to match any James Bond flick. The gadgets he uses are so incredibly shit, the best being his killer hat which he launches at enemies which is clearly on a piece of string. A film that has to be seen to be believed. Completely shit yet so much fun. The dubbing is real comical as well, the entire film was done by a husband & wife doing every single character 7

Karl get ready to get took [068] L.A. ConfidentialI think this film is as Hollywood as it gets; I love Kevin Spacey here, probably my favorite character/actor of all the legends in it, and I'm daring to say it's my favorite performance by him (yeah I know he's amazing in American Beauty but there's something about him here that captivates me). Anyway, Kim Basinger is great too and Danny De Vito....They're all great, this is a very good film. [069] Indiana Jones and the Last CrusadeWho else thinks this is the best one of the series? How funny are they FFS, I could watch this a million times and still crack up when Sean Connery delivers the classic "you left just before you were becoming interesting!" Oh man. Great, great film. [070] ZombielandSay what you want about Jesse Eisenberg, I'm a sucker for his performances, so dumb but still funny and cute, I don't know. I love this film, it's not very realistic zombie-wise (I mean firing guns all around and no zombies showing up? Doubtful), but still, I love the opening credits sequence and it's just fun. [071] (500) Days of SummerThis is just another one of those feel-good kinda movies that have absolutely no escence. But still, the dancing sequence with that Hall & Oates song more than makes up for it. Oh and the one in my sig as well, FML. [072] Bottle RocketOwen Wilson is great in this, and so is Luke Wilson, surprisingly enough, I think he's either hit or miss most of the time, and here he's definitely a hit. That whole thing with Ines is just great. The twist at the end is a little jewel that you don't see coming. As far as Wes Anderson goes, this one's the most different in terms of visual aesthetics and set designs, but it's more down to Earth than the rest, even if the characters aren't. I adore this, great memories attached to it as well, and that's always nice.

I thought it flopped at the cinema i think it did flop for the most part. love it to bits though. my top 3 of about 50 little moments 1. young neil: so did you guys like, you know, do it yet? scott: we have done many things, we ride the bus together, we have meaningful conversations about how yearbook club went & about her friends and, you know, drama. steven: have you kissed her? scott: we almost held hands once, but then she got embarrassed. 2. when he’s sitting at the door waiting for the amazon package he just ordered and the conversation when she shows up. 3. when he asks the guy at the party if he knows a girl with hair like his scribble sketch...yeah that’s ramona flowers

[071] (500) Days of SummerThis is just another one of those feel-good kinda movies that have absolutely no escence. Huh? Feel good? I left the cinema in a rage at how much of a bitch Zooey was, plus if The Gilmore Girls annoys you at it's need to be hip then this should have driven you over the edge. Over-rated dirge tbh.

Well I don't share the sentiment that her character is a bitch, she did what she believed in FFS, she wasn't in love with him, what was she supposed to do? Marry him just cause he was obsessed with her? I don't understand. Plus the guy does learn his lesson in the end and he gets a new hot girl to go home with, what's so sad about that? I knew who the director was, didn't expect anything less than a film half-done with a hipstamatic camera. Barny, I'm not rating films anymore cause the forum bullies made me feel bad about myself

Yeah, and the REVIEW underneath clearly tells you how she rates the film.
Tbh, you just sound like a lazy git who scrolls past the text and goes straight to a number. SAY IT AIN'T SO BARNY.
That's why i don't rate out of ten either anymore. I find it much more interesting and worthwhile to read a few sentences about a film, rather than a title, a picture, then a 7.53 stuck underneath.
