super troopers, (2001) [22] Funnier than I remembered it. It was the first time I watched it since I was in Amsterdam. It refers to the first sentence. Easy going american comedy. Nice leafing. 7/10 yes, a 7.

but I recall thinking that Lotso wasn't really that bad. Poor Lotso? He didn't push the stop button at the melting machine and left them all for dead! He's a cunt, mate. A strawberries-smelling, hugging pink cunt. Maybe I just need to see it again. Is it not their reaction to his rules that starts the whole fracas? His system is fair enough, right? Watched Adventureland - not bad. Still not convinced that Eisenberg is a great actor at all, but it was a solid, yet largely forgettable flick. 6/10.

Maybe I just need to see it again. Is it not their reaction to his rules that starts the whole fracas? His system is fair enough, right? I think you need to see it again . They react to his 'rules' because they're unfair and based on an overblown personal vendetta and not an actual reality. He's evil, mate. And yes I do realize I'm having a discussion on TOYS. Jesse Eisenberg and Martin Starr were the only mentionable factors in that film, IMO; I think Eisenberg has a very low-key quality about him, which works for the characters he plays, but I also believe he needs to step out of his comfort zone. The story is forgettable and your rating would be correct. [100] GomorraFucking amazing; I don't understand why it takes me so long to watch films like these, should've watched it when it first came out. Loved the camera work and the light/colors, especially. [101] Patriot GamesI gotta admit I'm not a huge fan of these type of CIA-government complot-persecution type of films, but this one I enjoyed, totally. Don't even know why cause it has several plot holes, but it was a good suspense/action film for the evening.

I am watching Broken Flowers with Bill Murray as it's on tv but who fucking cares, what strikes me is that BJMs music is in such a ridiculous amount of films/series it's not even funny anymore

The Adjustment BureauSince my girlfriend seen the trailer for this a few months back she'd wanted to go and see it. Reading the review in today's Mirror which recommended it if you liked 'Inception' had me fearing the worst. In fairness though this was a lot easier to follow, and i enjoyed it up until the underwhelming ending. 7.5/10

Torn on this. The cinematography and art direction are beautiful. The acting was spot on. Firth and Rush are great. Sharp dialog and it's nicely framed within that great historical context. But it just felt like Good Will Hunting Lite. The conversations never got deep enough. All surface. Plus it had filthy royals so how can any red-blooded American enjoy it in good faith? 7/10 anyhow.

I didn't know anything about it but the poster image, so I didn't really expected it to be like that. I think it has a good idea a litter undeveloped, some cringeworthy scenes there too, but managed to keep me interested until the deceiving end. 7/10 is fair. Can't find the comparison with Inception in any single way though ---------------------------------------------- Also saw Black Swan last week, original version subtitled. 8.75/10 Really captivating and absorbing film, great atmposphere and brilliant performances. I jumped from my seat like four times... Liked it more than what I thought I would, and it was my favourite to win the Oscar (I'm yet to see The social network and The king's speech), as it's quite different to any other film there. I preferred Inception but I don't think an Oscar would have fitted considering the amount of controversy around it, Toy Story 3 and True Grit are not original enough, and 127 hours is just alright.

So, turns out Neil Patrick Harris is GAY and expecting twins from a surrogate mother. MINDBLOWN Let the Right One In, re-watch, 9/10. I don't think I need to say anything about this film, do I? gonna re- watch this. Watch 'storm' if you're into swedish films like that. funny soapbox moment in the beginning of this thread. Watched (Pixar's) Ratatouille for the first time - now it's only Cars that I haven't seen.
Ratatouille was fine - the arc was reasonable, the love interest angle a bit forced, and the animation supoib (of course). Did tear up at one point (when ego tasted the titular dish and flashed back to his childhood).
Not up there with Up and Wall-E but certainly a solid 7, on par with the Toy Story films.

Beavis & Butthead Do America (1995) I'm very pleased that B&B didn't stray from their characters. It gets tedious in spots where it needs to develop a plot. Funny, though. 7/10

Blue valentine, (2010), [25] A very well made film. It captures a lot of the things about life and especially how a relationship between a man and a woman is. Michelle Williams is great and Ryan Gosling is charming. A perfect first date movie. 8/10

Zidane: A 21st Century Portrait - 7/10Wen to bed last night, stuck on the TV and ended up watching this. Strangely compelling stuff, I was quite surprised. Expected it to be quite boring but really I should have known better. I miss Zidane.

Taken - 8/10
Reminds me of the Ste Seagal revenge sort of movies but obviously has a more modern feel. The part where he's in the flat with all the Albanian's and he gets one to do the translation of "Good luck" is incredible.

Blue valentine, (2010), [25] 8/10 Glad you liked it, fungia. What did you think of Michelle Williams, especially? Isn't the fantastic? [102] Scarface Incredible. Made me want to snort cocaine and wear silk dresses TBHTBT. [103] Men at WorkHell fucking yes! This is one of those 'so bad it's actually awesome' B-list films. It's silly fun, and Charlie Sheen is incredibly cool in it. [104] GarcĂaThis is a Colombian film that I'd recommend; sadly Colombia doesn't have a film industry, we produce less than 100 films a year I'd say, and of those only 2 or 3 are worth mentioning. This one is among them. It came out last year and I was impressed with how nice it looks, the art and photography are really good, and the performances are interesting as well. My Colombian childhood hero is in this (her name is Margarita Rosa de Francisco and she pwns). [105] Perro Come PerroAnother Colombian film, this one is great. It won the best photography at the Sundance Film Festival in 2008 I think; it keeps you entertained the whole way through, great performances, great soundtrack and it feels very local, yet universal at the same time. I recommend this if you're looking for a Latin American film with local flavours but great performances and an interesting photography proposal. [106] A Life Less OrdinaryI like this film because it's silly and the script is a bit OTT. I also like it cause it's the only time Cameron Diaz doesn't make me want to murder children. She's actually...great in it, as scared I am to say it. Holly Hunter is also incredible; I enjoy its pace, the tequila shot/karaoke scene and Ewan McGregor's everything.

The King's Speech (2010) A reluctant stuttering king learns to halfway talk like a normal person. If you had told me that was the premise of the film before I watched I would not have seen it. I'm very happy I did. I was entertained throughout and I had no idea that Firth has the chops he does. 7/10
