I prefer Oasis' "Heroes" to Bowie's - I don't like Bowie. I'm sad he died when he did only because if he 'd lived a little longer he'd have been caught up in #metoo and he'd be getting the Michael Jackson treatment now. What a despicable thing to say. Erm its not that shocking....underage girls (at the time) have already come out and told their story.
Basically Sully is scum for defending Ryan Adams noncery but others can defend artists they're fans of....have i got that right?

The production on HC is ropey but the standard of song is substantially stronger than on DFGT (as I now call it). It says a lot they had to tack a song as weak as Lyla on as the lead single. Meanwhile, HC has The Hindu Times, SCYHO and (P)AITM. Yeah it’s also got Little By Little, but we can overlook that. Lyla is the better version of THT (and TSOTL). SCYHO is so dull it sounds like it was written for Leona Lewis. (And I thought I was the only person in the world that liked (P)AITN! I will give the album that one.) While SOngbird is great, the other two Liam songs are really bad. DBTT was the comeback - the band were revitalised, Noel knocking out classics like TIOBI and POTQ (and singing better than in ages), Liam's three efforts among his best, a great short opener, and bar KTDA, an A-grade tracklist. Swap KTDA for (P)AITM and DBTT would be rock solid. (And yeah; I prefer Oasis' "Heroes" to Bowie's - I don't like Bowie. Nice last page. This line got me for some reason: Anyway HC is crap, the demos of the best two tunes are superior than the finished versions which says a lot. To a lot of Oasis fans though, HC is ranked. It just sounds bland but to the more generic fans you can see why it's classed as Morning Glory#2. When it was released I always insisted PAITM was the best tune to my mates but they always laughed it off. I still stand by that and whilst not being amazing, it still sounds half interesting which probably shows I started to develop half an interest in other music. I don't rate DBTT much either but still better than HC. I did see them in a THEATRE on the HC tour and met the lads outside and got photos, autographs etc plus I even sported the RKID barcode t-shirt, so still happy times. I remember Finsbury Park where I knew every word to every new song and got loads of weird looks. The album had only just come out but clearly I'd revised the words months earlier through the leak. that album just reminds me of limewire and dial up internet, waiting hours for force of nature (demo) only to have downloaded that bill Clinton thing! remember getting the live versions of tht and hiabp and thinking they were HUGE! actually still think its underrated, its got a handful of songs ill listen to again which is more than i can say for doys.
in fact it was searching for news about that album that i first found the masterplan.com and subsequently the forum. i worked away that summer and remember going to the internet cafe every day and having a little log on to read the reviews of it as they came in. remember q magazine decimating it!!! compared little by little to poisons every rose has its thorn, and now when it comes on absolute classic rock (poison, not oasis!) i cant unhear it

DOYS is miles better. At least there's a gritty sound to it unlike HC which sounds like snow falling on grass. Pass me the fucking grit.
