I hope John Squire was just unenthusiastic about doing a press conference (which seems likely), rather than being unenthusiastic about the reunion. . Watch any interview with Squire, that is actually how he is all the time.

How much you people reckon tickets for Manchester are going to be and what site is going to sell them? Going to buy myself a ticket and go there on my own, maybe try and get someone get along but I don't care really. Biggest day since years.

Im considering buying a ticket on the basis that I get a full time job, fly over and either be homeless for an evening or the option of staying with a friend in TCOTU. It seemed like a certainty that itd never happen. I want to be at the front when they play dont stop. need to see how they do that

as soon as I realised it was for real I blanked any scepticism and cynicism out. The album will no doubt be shit but the gigs, I think the gigs will be special. I'll see you at Manchester Baz!!!

because I'm a sad cunt I was comparing prices of gigs from when the roses last played to now. I remember thinking it was rape cos they were charging £12.50 for the 95 gigs, with inflation that works out to £17.50 now, pulp a few weeks earlier cost £8, with inflation thats £11 now. these were massive bands at their absolute commerical and critical peak.
even wank bands these days cost twice as much for anything bigger than a club gig.
