Does anybody know how a Spanish racist like me can access it? the oasis in their own words? I wouldn't bother. It's 20 minutes long and made up of very common footage that I'm sure you've seen tons of time before. Someone will probably stick it on youtube eventually. look up the page ya blind bat.

Saw the film tonight - thought it was enjoyable but not quite the classic it was flagged as. Some of footage I'd seen before although most of the soundbites seemed new. Some great unseen clips though. Admittedly was a bit upset (that's right, I'm a soft soul) at the treatment of Tony and especially Guigsy although Liam added some compassion about when Guigs quit temporarily. Just the way Noel laughed off both pissed me of a bit and made me think if the band were actually ever that close. Did think Liam came across better than Noel but I guess that's a reflection of the present - although the film shows why both are heroes. The most surprising part was the version of Liam singing Sad Song. That's right, Liam singing Sad Song!! I'd give it a 7/10 (fuck you film section!) and not higher just because they continually named the person who was talking. Some cool animations going on but I already know what Noel sounds like, thanks. See it

Not seen it but disappointed it's just about the glory days, was hoping - when it was first announced - that it was going to be more definitive. 92-96 is a well worn, admittedly, great tale

Well to be honest the later years weren't exactly exciting in terms of bust ups, the music and the gigs. I guess they could call the sequel Just Getting Older? Lol.
There's a weird bit in it where Noel describes himself as a cat and Liam a dog, actually some pretty deep self-analysis. There's definitely a studio version of Sad Song with Liam on vocals though, bonza.

There was a bit about Sad Song on NME the other day:

It was only around a twenty second clip but he sounded young in his vocals, would have guessed at 93 tbh. He sang the chorus a bit differently and I'm surprised I'm saying this - but the original sounded better. Would kill to hear the full version though.

Noel came across as a massive cunt tbh. It felt like Liam wanted to be Liam and Noel wanted to be an accountant.
Calling Mark Coyle 'the fifth member of Oasis' was such an uneccessary fuck you to the two drummers.

I also didn't understand him moaning about Tony not being able to play the songs so Alan was brought in, yet when they first met Alan started talking to him about drum techniques yet Noel dismissed him and said they only care about how he looked. Seemed like one massive contradiction or maybe he just hated Tony and/or his perm.
Lost a bit of respect for Noel by the end tbh. The best thing he said was calling Bonehead the heartbeat of the band.

Just got back from seeing it. They really should have included the Be Here Now era and maybe ended the film with Bonehead and Guigsy leaving marking the end of the real Oasis. It would have been 100 times better. Thought Noel came across as pretty cold whilst Liam wore his heart on his sleeve and is absolutely in love with being in Oasis. The treatment of Tony was fecking disgusting like. Can't understand how they get unlimited access to private 90's Oasis footage and they chose not to use any of the Be Here Now stuff. It's like only half the story has been told.

Director said there's a 7 hours movie, maybe it will be available on DVD?

I once saw a documentary where that Paolo Hewitt guy described Oasis as being 'a band that'd take a bullet for each other'. I'm unconvinced after seeing the film.
Some of the stuff they got hold off was insane though - the telephone call from Noel while roadieing (?) back to his mum when he heard about Liam had joined a band, wtf - did they trawl the BT archives for that?

This video is fantastic, although I'm not very sure about the one take thing. But still, DRAGON VOICE Vid not working but I'm guessing it's the champagne super one. Load of b/s about 1 take you can hear in that some of the phrasing is different but I also read a thing today by Owen morris saying they recorded about a dozen takes of each bit for the same song

Finally saw the doc. It's not the film I'd have made, think it could be better but it's still pretty good. Also it's a bit like I suspect the Stooges one will be, the Iggy of today is not the same as the Iggy back then so his view will be a bit different. It's not the funniest, wittier or sharpest they've ever been, but they're still great as always. Both of them and Bonehead. Maybe too much of the mum and Coyle. The strength to me is the unreal domestic footage, so authentic. That story should be told, glad it exists. I wish it would be a bit longer, until BHN at least.
