well, it's probably because you're listening to it after your shit day at work sipping on a molson canadian and it's an audience recording?
and remember the days we bought bootlegs without even know the sound quality of the gig. That Barcelona one my friend got for 45$ was ridiculous. but did we ever think -oh it sounds like a soundcheck!? fucking hell, man - you can do better than that (and I'm not talking about your haircut)
edit here (anyway I'm off to bed) - people are now so fucking daft. it's all becoming fucking weird. people get to hear the soundchecks in poor quality over youtube and when they hear some audience recording, the first thing they think of is a fucking sound check. fucking weirdos.
and what was wrong with Oasis soundchecks anyway? The Turning and that 17 minutes version of Simple Game Of Genius are fucking immense.
