I’ve watched from afar at the ineptitude of the English FA and the corruption and stupidity of the FAI, but there isn’t much that compares to the absolute embarrassing incompetence of Soccer Canada. We haven’t even come close to making a World Cup since 1986. In fucking CONCACAF!?!?
"Gareth Southgate will be able to pick a 26-man England squad at Euro 2020 instead of 23 after Uefa’s national teams committee recommended the expansion due to pressures on players caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.
The move will give Southgate the chance to pick some players who were on the fringes of his squad or who will only have recently returned from injury. It should also provide more flexibility for teams if squads are affected by a Covid outbreak."
Good news given that he'd inevitably make a boneheaded decision to take Dier instead of Sancho or Grealish otherwise (still not entirely convinced he won't fill up the extra 3 with 3 right backs insteads)
