Spent the last couple of months getting into some reggae stuff. Best thing I've heard in ages is Toots & The Maytals' cover of Louie Louie. Those drum fills that start around 01:39 and keep popping in are incredible.

In the past year I've listened to more ska, roots reggae and dub than anything else. There's 50 years of utterly brilliant, timeless music out there that's been doggedly ignored by most folk our age. Forget about Marley. If you download one reggae album, get Max Romeo's War In A Babylon, Marcus Garvey by Burning Spear (the full record) or if you really want to cut to the chase, Arkology by Lee Scratch Perry. Super Ape is alright, but King Tubby Meets Rockers Uptown owns it in the dub stakes. BTW: this > anthing on 'Legend'. Stick your No Woman No Cry up yer arse.
