Plus you've got enormous psychological pressure to deal with, media obligations, globalization, mass exposure, the sky sports era etc etc, the list is pretty much endless. Yep, Maradona definitely never had to deal with any of that.  |

Maradona wasnt playing in the best club side ever though. He was carrying Napoli to titles and carried one of the worst Argentina sides ever to world cup triumph. Axl I never said Messi had it easy, i said compared to what Maradona had to contend with he did. Messi is a genius. I just think Maradona was better. Both stances have made some points through a lot of garbage, but I'm closer to agreeing with Axl, as Messi is simply undeniable. C. Ronaldo is making an amazing season (again) and nobody doubts (but him) he's miles away from Messi. And he's just 24! Even if he fucks it all Maradona style, it doesn't matter. In my opinion, he's already become the best player ever. Game after game after game he shows it. But not the most important one yet. For that he needs to become a legend, specially in his own country.
