Not really sure how to describe him to most that would've never heard of him (Chuze, need your help!) but he's basically one of the best singer-songwriter types of France ever really. (Dunno, i guess he's a French Bob Dylan/Neil Young basically) Career spanning thirty years, and in my opinion one that only got better with age... His story kind of writes itself, the son of a French women and a random Algerian (whom he never knew) and made it big the old fashioned way. The lyrics of this tune vaguely deal with this fact, and his struggle to find his identity, etc... to a certain extent. I can't explain it very well but this is his very last public appearance, a performance of one of his newest tunes right after he was given the Légion d'honneur, the equivalent of being knighted essentially in France. He died six months later. (this is all last year) Anyway, he's a legend i hope you enjoy this tune Was fucking emotional watching that the parents home in France, my grandparents were in fucking tears.
