New single here: soundcloud.com/timburgess/white-radio-editIt's no Oh My Corazon! but it's alright. Columbia_rocks_man: he's playing the Oran Mor on a Friday in October. Fancy recreating the bigness of the Neon Neon neet?

been listening to a lot of the charlatans since seeing them at v. really loving who we touch at the moment, revisiting that album a couple of years on and it really stands up well against the rest of their back catologue i think.
anyone read burgess' book ? i keep meaning to get it but havent bothered yet but it seems to be getting good reviews everywhere

All I've read is the chapter about the Wu tang that he cut out which was in the independent. 'how high' is influenced by the Wu

ive become a bit obsessed with burgess the last couple of days. reading loads of interviews hes done and stuff. i can totally relate to how he gets obsessed with something, listens to it loads, claims its the best thing ever, rips it off for a charlatans record then moves on and never mentions it again might go and blow some coke up my bum to be a bit more like him. am gutted i never went further with his new birds sister who i snogged. me and burgess could be brother in laws now

Yeah despite me not listening to them much anymore & constantly laughing at Burgess new looks I've always admired his love for music. Especially how he'll talk so passionately about whatever he's into. He got obsessed with Dylan in about 98 and bought 200 bootlegs and listened to nothing but Dylan leading up to Us & Us Only

burgess pointed at me during a gig once in the mid 2000's was a powerful moment. hes a don, even though he looks like an idiot half the time now. love his passion, still love his lyrics.
this song is damm good, it just keeps missing the cut for my radio show gonna open with it next week.

He was DJing at a club night in Edinburgh on Saturday night after a Charlies gig. Obviously I didn't bother with the latter but I got right behind the former. He played a really decent set, a lot of crowd pleasers, stuff like Hey Boy, Hey Girl Was banging.

I think it's easily the worst record in their back catalogue. Love is Ending was a great single but just about everything else on it is forgettable at best or horrifically cheesy at worst. Can't say I've listened to them that much recently either, but when I do it's usually Wonderland or Between 10th and 11th.

I have lived my life completely ignoring The Charlatans and thought it would be that way forever, but after seeing on that exystence blog a remaster of "Tellin' Stories" I've decided to give it a listen and I'm glad I did.
Probably you savvier people are bored with it, but if it was released today by a new band I supose we all would fall inevitably for it. So it could be like discovering a mine for me, you can only feel a little jealous.

I mean, hearing How Can You Leave Us for the first time is like listening to (Probably) All In The Mind and thinking it's the best thing since dinosaurs.

His gig at the union chapel last wednesday was kinda surreal. Seemed like an odd rehearsal where nothing's going right with an audience in front of him. The guy who co-wrote the record was trying to reassure him the whole time, he was like a scared little animal.
Overall his new record is nice to listen to, but live, it's kinda boring.
