I agree in principle but weather dictates that the english cricket season is was it is, May to early September
In that time we generally schedule 7 test matches and 10 odi matches with a couple of t20's too.
To accommodate ipl we'd have to do away with scheduling internationals in May, so there's no way we could keep the same number of matches as above.
This would piss off; the english cricket fans, the players who didn't get picked in ipl, the counties and it would also have a big effect on the income that the board brings in so ultimately the players would have to take a pay cut. Yes the big stars who get an ipl contract for the full length of the ipl season would be more than compensated by this but the vast majority of professional cricketers in england would be out of pocket.
It's just not feasible accommodating ipl for england. Unfortunately the Windies have the same problem with their home summer being March to April and their cricket board's soft stance on ipl has meant their fans rarely get to see some of their best players. Chris Gayle, Sunil Narine, Jerome Taylor and Dwayne Bravo all no longer even have a contract with the West Indies. I'd hate for the same thing to happen with us.

We should build roofs for our cricket stadia, that would be awesome.

We should build roofs for our cricket stadia, that would be awesome. The perfect solution to this mess, at last! paid for by ipl money.

Thank fuck for that. Get him in the squad for India and let Broad and Swann have a good cry about it.
I have to say 'reintegration' sounds pretty painful for someone who only slagged off there boss.

"Kevin Pietersen's England career is over after he was dropped for the West Indies tour and the World Twenty20.
The 33-year-old was informed by the England and Wales Cricket Board this week that he is not longer in their plans after the miserable Ashes tour.
ECB managing director Paul Downton said: "The time is right to rebuild not only the team but also the team ethic."
Pietersen said: "I will continue to play but deeply regret that it won't be for England.""

Seems like it's KP and Peirs vs The Middle Classes.
There can be no winner.

The England cricket team is a good chaps brigade run by some of the most odious cunts in sporting administration. The worst thing being I've been forced to agree with that abortion Piers Morgan on this.

Cook is a such a characterless mong.
He'll end up in Noel Gallagher's Flying Birds if he is not careful.
