In all fairness, Tobias, that song has been played to death. Borefest. that song will never be a borefest.

There was no way they were gonna take an existing song anyway

It's not been released so why wouldn't they take it?
Minus the fact it's shit of course.

As if Bond would fuck with a girl with freaky teeth anyway. Would make good theme for a plodding, cod psychedelic Tim Burton Bond starring Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan

We all agree it is better than most of the last official Bond themes, right?

That Casino Royale one was decent and worked really well. Great title sequence all-round, that one. Jack White and Alicia Keys one was rancid, as was Madonna's. Garbage one may have been alright, can't really remeber [/comprehensive round up]
Freaky Teeth is probably forgettable enough to fit in with most of the bond themes. but there's no way Universal or Paramount or whoeverthefuck would ever have such a plodding vocalist as Noel G gargle over the title sequence to their multi millions dollar franchise

It's pretty average but I did listen to two non-album tracks yesterday, I'd Pick You Every Time and A Simple Game Of Genius, and both are really great. Better than 90% of the album.

extra: Alone On The Rope is a belter too, tbh. Liam was always going to missed on vocals but the three I just mentioned on the album would have made it really strong, instead we got predictable filler.

alone on a/the rope is a great song as is a simple game of genius. from the album itself, I like broken arrow, what a life, everybody is on the run, and stranded on the wrong beach. everything else is just really average.

It's not been released so why wouldn't they take it? Minus the fact it's shit of course. It's all over the internet as live form since last October (2011) and Noel basically tried to sell it for the past 3 bond movies. A bond theme has to be unheard, in any form, and not talked about. It had to be 100% fresh and identified only to the franchise. That's what happened with all the themes before. And it wouldn't make a good bond theme anyway. I thought Garbage the world is not enough worked great. Soundgarden guy and white/keys were pony. Agree, Garbage was probably the last good bond theme. The 90s themes were generally good. The 2000s ones sucked. That's probably why they're going with a more classic sounding tune this time, but alas it sounds, from the clip like it was written and recorded in 5 mins... oh well.
