watched that we are the world doc in the week. bob was so not feeling it during the group sing.  i've always liked his part in it. makes me grin & cringe in equal measure.  |

who's getting the 27 cd boxset of bob dylan/the band 1974?  did think it would be more expensive than 125 quid. still not getting it though.  I expected this to be some kind of "complete tour recordings" but it isn't, it's just the recordings of most of the shows and ironically it lacks the highlights of the tour, like the only live performance of As I Went Out One Morning (10/01) and the reworked acoustic versions of Fourth Time Around (23/01), Desolation Row (04/02) and Visions of Johanna (06/02). This is the kind of boxset that costs 120 quid on release and next year you find it for 35. It should come with a big sticker saying sale is prohibited to people under the age of 70. |
