Pretty decent set
Crowd fell asleep during bold and gleam though.
Shockwave and river were highlights.
He nailed almost all of the oasis stuff too.

Watching The Killers set now cos my missus likes them. And tbf, I did make her sit through Liam.
Honestly, I've probably developed a bit of a soft spot for these lads. Hot Fuss is still a cracking album and they have some belting tunes in their cannot. Plus, they clearly love what they do and give it their all.

This is something that’s been on my mind since watching foo fighters and radiohead at Glastonbury.
I’m mainly speaking from a crowd/atmosphere perspective here,
The 2004 performance was dreadful and the crowd were shit
The 2017 performance was slightly overrated and the crowd were mostly dead
This 2019 performance was pretty good and the crowd were dreadful.
You watch bands like radiohead, idles, foo fighters (all excellent bands) there’s a massive connection with the crowd, at home your under this massive spell and you feel like your watching the greatest bands/performances in the history of music. At glasto you must end up feeling like you’re part of the biggest cultural explosion in the history of music, of course you’re not and it isn’t, but it’s escapism innit, therefore the bands succeed.
The worrying thing is that this also happens with shit bands like the killers, why has this never been the case with oasis/Liam? Surely it can’t just be down to literate heartfelt 2 minute speeches between songs? Why have oasis/Liam failed to generate even 20% of the atmosphere (from their own gigs) at Glastonbury?
I can’t get my head around this one lads.

lewis capaldi is definitley a member of team beady eye He's social media savvy that boy. He's run rings round Dwayne, its beautiful to see. Anyway I've only watched two full sets, Liam and IDLES. I enjoyed Liam because its Liam. IDLES were fucking incredible.

Lewis Capaldi is good value on social media but his songs are fucking chronic. He’s not even got that good a voice.
The best set I’ve seen so far is Sheryl Crow. Not even joking. Her band are superb. I can even look past the fact she was formerly shacked up with Lance Armstrong.
Thought LG’s set was alright, nothing special. I really dislike his backing band. I’ve said it before but it really makes you appreciate how good a live band Oasis were even towards the end.

Hot Fuss is still a cracking album and they have some belting tunes in their cannot. Plus, they clearly love what they do and give it their all. I saw them play a festival in Glasgow last year and was surprised at how much I didn’t hate them. Brandon is very Vegas showman, plenty of chat and a rock solid voice. But much of their latter stuff is utter dross.
